It sounded very snake oil, but one of the founders/ owners is a professor of neuroscience at a real university. It seemed at the very least a place that I couldn’t blame an indiscriminate fighter for trusting.

Emmett is a good fighter, and I think that there was some mid-level ref incompetence in his loss to Stephens (there was a low blow or an eye poke or something that didn't get called leading into the finish). I picked Burgos because I think that Burgos is at least as good as Emmett, and that his striking game is sophisticated enough not to get clipped by big hooks, so he gets by on the "styles make fights" tiebreaker. Ring rust also figures in that prediction, but for all we know Powder could be coming back with a shitload of new tricks in his kit to surprise us.

So...what's going on with this weekend's card? UFC's website lists 5 matches in the main event but one of them is Aspen Ladd vs Sara McMann, and we know Ladd's injured, it is also showing Heinisch vs Allen but I believe Heinisch is also injured. The others are Porier vs Hooker, Perry vs Gall and Villante vs Greene. For the prelims, I'm seeing Luis Pena vs Khama Worthy (Expecting Pena to lose spectacularly), Philipe Lins vs Tanner Boser (2 sloppy heavyweights, might be fun) and Sean Woodson vs Kyle Nelson, I don't know who Nelson is at all but Sean Woodson is that dude with long legs who fought Kyle Bochniak recently, he's fun to watch. For the early prelims it's just blank. Is this card gonna get cancelled or are we just gonna get a bunch of regional fighters again?
