I usually only play wild but with the new 10-11x bonus stars thing I hit legend on like the first week, so I decided to stop playing wild for the rest of the month and started doing standard.

What's the deal with Savjz and the current BG tourney? I recall his wife got unfairly fired from Blizzard when they downsized and cut their entire esports branch laying off like 800 staff with no warning, and it looks like he may have been blacklisted?

The Brawl tournament today has been so poorly run. You have teams of folks you could listen into, or maybe show all 4 battles at once, instead they just show one person for a long time (and sometimes leaving the cursor over a card, blocking the view). The commentors seemed to not even know what was happening on the other matches, being only reliant on the main screen. Throw in them apparently blacklisting Savjz, who would have made a great addition if they bothered piping in audio from the players... its just an absolute mess of an event.

Yeah, it kind of sucks that as overpowered as the bosses are, AND can use wild cards, you're stuck with standard. Basically it seems like you need to be lucky on RNG draw and have a board to close with an Alex. I'm guessing no wild was because mechathun is the only legit way to maybe enjoy this. Every one of these suck.

I came into the same way I came into the heroic Galakrond's awakening - build an OTK mage wild deck. Instead I've gone with a Rez priest, which from what I hear is the go.

My current tavern brawl deck is "Swarm 7" and I would not be surprised if it is 90% of the decks tomorrow, as it is probably the most broken thing I have ever seen. Hero power is deal 3 to any enemy or heal 3 to any friendly and it costs 0 mana and you can use it twice a turn lmao. Rest of the deck is token druid poo poo.

Yeah pretty sure this is supposed to occupy the same slot as the Heroic challenges from previous adventures. Allowing Wild cards would mean that the opposing decks are so overpowered that people without Wild collections would be almost entirely shut out. I’m currently walking through the challenge with Highlander Mage, though I’ll admit pretty much every win has come from Alexstrasza setting them to 15 first.

the deck I ran into was a Hunter one which wasn't very good except the hero power was give all friendly minions everywhere +1/+1 and you could cast it twice for free good luck making it to turn 10 against that and I finally beat the first heroic challenge with Gala Thief Priest, is there a decent reward for doing the rest? because if not I think I'll save the effort and not bother Julio Cruz fucked around with this message at 00:27 on Jun 25, 2020 |

I started with the hunter deathrattle deck which seemed entertaining. Then I ran into the train that is Druid with that insane free six damage hero power. Then I ran over a few people with that deck and welp, that’s probably enough brawling for the week. That hero power - good lord.

Yeah, it's like that because you just build one stupid deck amd beat everything with it, instead of building a deck to counter the gimmick or whatever. Well, maybe you can build a deck that counters, but it's easier to counter bullshit with bullshit. Endless vargoths, infiltrators and catarinas. Some bosses i had to restart a few times because it was still too much sometimes. Like kael - if you can get him to topdecking and pyroing your minions you can probably close it out. Otherwise he'll 4 x pyro you in 2 turns. Teron was also a bit annoying because you could take a lot of early damage trying to get value from the free clears and get double death coiled, or he steals my minions and I'm dead in the water. I think the rest were 1 or 2 shots. Even Illidan only took 2 tries.

My brawl deck is currently some hunter thing that casts spells for HP and is filled with call of the wild and that 6 mana twinspell 5/5 rusher thing. Also the hero power is 1 mana +1/+1 to all minions everywhere. I’ve won like 5 games in a row on turn 3.

I used pure libram paladin for the first few bosses, then rez priest for a couple and finally control quest priest for Illidan (with a bunch of weapon removal).

It also has the problem of being dependent on the right cards at the right time, but no where near the extent of this deck's dependency on Villains. Pyromancer is good in this deck though.
