I got this title for the dumbest fucking possible take on sea shanties. Specifically, I derailed the meme thread because sailors in the 18th century weren't woke enough for me, and you shouldn't sing sea shanties. In fact, don't have any fun ever.
For the record, when it comes to the sea of MAGAs on twitter and so on, it is a matter of public record (from information released by the US DOD and intelligence agencies) that Russia employs "bots" (mostly actually real people) to try and sway public opinion in the US to be more divisive and generally harm the US. But most of the people in those huge waves are not bots, they're regular Americans. It only takes a subtle hand to guide a mob. And they're also on the left, too, but probably not as much (I mean, Russia didn't help get Trump elected out of the goodness of their heart; they know that Republican rhetoric is more damaging to the US than Democrat rhetoric).

I absolutely guarantee you that the anti-mask sentiment on Twitter and other social media is specifically being helped along by Russia, who is trying to harm the US via COVID19.

Furthermore, the United States almost certainly engages in the exact same tactics against other countries as well, and China is probably number 2 or 3 on the list as well. But Russia is definitely the top place for "troll farming."

This is all a matter of public record; this is not conspiracy theory stuff. It's just the more modern version of the superpowers organizing coups in third world countries during the Cold War.

Agreed. If you know of a better place to get Goosebumps books, shark pencil toppers, and a poster with a picture of a Lamborghini I'd like to see it :colbert:
