I decided that I really wanted a second Aegis shield, so I ended up doing Rugwizard with Freelancer + Bard. That was painful.

The only times you should kill Rugwizard are if you have the tools to kill rugwizard or if you really, really don’t want to reroll Mime or an Advance class but are also playing on a clean/uncheated version of the game. The second free Aegis isn’t worth the stress, Monks are still bad even with Kaiser Knuckles, and there is basically no instance where the Titan’s Axe outdamages the Rune Axe. I made things harder by going in with the Bonemail; I didn't realize that with 2 people the Rugwizard would only drain the character without the mail yet consistently bounce Curas onto the person with the mail. At least buffing speed + strength made things much better once I switched over to aggressively bouncing mage masher procs and smacking him in the face with the Excalibur.

Thanks to the power of music (and getting my Berserk mini'ed) I finally knuckled down and finished my run.   After how rough some of the random encounters could be, it was very cathartic to go into Neo Exdeath so hopped up on tunes that he barely got 1 attack off.

I'm weak and the grind for Mirror Rings in Barrier Tower killed my enthusiasm weeks ago and now I'm almost certainly never going to finish up the second half of the game... Submitted my forfeit  , which at least brings my total close to if I'd died the "maximum" number of times. Best of luck on people's insane last minute runs!

I should really get my Literally Free Triple Crown done, but somehow one of the strongest setups I've had in fiesta history (MYS/RNG/CHM/RDM) has hit all of my  buttons.

Victory! First playthrough/ fiesta. Didn't try to take on the extra bosses but next year. As for NED, he got a whole lot easier once I realized everybody could spam quick for extra turns/ big gil tossing.

I finished 6 runs this year. I did less than last year but at least I went out of my way to fufill some dumb toxxes. Run 6: Dancer/Bard/(JobFaired!Samurai)/Berserker part 2 (refer to my last post for me killing Adamantoise and Archeoaevis with 4 Bards for that toxx): I honestly forgot if these were fully paid out already- Aerdan posted:The Skald I know it's $1 per run but I had to- if only for consistency of every other toxx I went and fulfilled via triple crowns:    palindrome posted:

Well, I started my third run, Chaos about 45 to 50 days ago and then let it languish right before adamantoise. I burnt myself out grinding shells and too many dark matters. Today I picked it back up to try to finish it and through the power of Chemistry and Break Rod I finished it in a day and got a triple crown. Run 3: Chemist / Berserker / Time Mage / Red Mage  Omega I just quickleaked. I didn't feel up to fighting the robot as a solo chemist.  Shinryu I berserked, blinded, and then let Faris do big hits with a rune axe at lvl 99.  NED was the old "make yourself immortal fighting TreeDeath before unloading" I turned Faris into a frog so she couldn't hurt TreeDeath while I buffed everyone up. The moment I turned her back to normal she did a 9999 Rune Axe hit and the rest was history. Ate a grand cross, Faris became a zombie and Lenna became old. No big deal I had plenty of holy water. Ran real low on turtle shells though.

Managed to finish my run on the last day. I totally forgot all about it. Thankfully I had stopped playing just before entering the rift. Exdeath got Syldra'd to death.  Shinryu got berserked and kissed to death while golem protected me.  Here was my team     Pretty easy run, as any run with Chemist and Summoner should be.

 I only got two runs down this year, and I doubt I'm going to get around to taking out Shin or Omega with this team, so screw it, I think I'm done. Also, I think it's about time I called my own  10 people completed it, for $5 per run. Congrats and good work to everyone who gave it a go.

I was too late to donate my money through FJF so I hope you don't mind that I rounded my toxxes up to $50 and donated them directly to the ColorOfChange charity (the charity FJF supported this year) It was awesome to see everyone's surgical kills and I really am stumped at how a surgical triple crown is even possible.
