So, on a different topic, dude who could regenerate his body parts, he had an eye patch? Said something about an experiment they were doing? I thought he regenerated nearly instantly? At least, that's what happened with his arm. Could Vought be experimenting with something that suppresses powers? Also, I missed why Mallory sent them to look into Liberty in the first place. Does she have some inkling that she's resurfaced?

A regenerating Supe would be very useful for a lot of practical applications, I can't imagine that dude's worklife is pleasant. Plot reasons aside I don't even understand why Vought lets him wander around freely outside of work hours. In real life he'd be in as many literal pieces as they could keep viable in a lab somewhere. Mallory seems to been on the Supe hater angle for a while, maybe she just had an inkling when Stormfront showed up. It seems like Liberty just disappeared in the 70's, so it might be that she's a cold case that got reopened. My money's on some combination of the three as a way of basically farming future potential Seven recruits, personally, but this is obviously just wild-rear end speculation. Whatever the case, I don't think it's an accident that the only parents (AFAIR) we've got confirmation of knowing about the Compound V procedure are Starlight's crazy stage mom who's been grooming her daughter to join the Seven her whole life. (Or it's just a plot hole and I'm vastly overthinking it, could be that too.) On an unrelated note, I swear I've seen A-Train before in some other superhero movie or TV show. Not the actor, but the character, at least in the broad strokes: Black speedster, treated basically like a superstar athlete, costume that looks like professional running gear, right down to the cardboard standee hawking an energy drink like the one Hughie sees in the convenience store in the pilot. Does anybody else remember this? Am I having a weird recursive meta-moment and remembering A-Train himself because I watched just the first episode a year ago when it first dropped and only just now got back into the show?

If one supe can blackmail an employee into stealing the thing, what's the stop others from getting it? I can see China or Russian using spies to steal the formula. It'd make a great plot for Season 3.

That trailer looks loving sweet but honestly i think im not gonna watch them anymore because even having a second of this show spoiled feels wrong, it's soooo amazing. I'm not the type to sneak bites from the kitchen unless I'm the cook Edit: This thread is really cool though. The Pippi longstocking thing made sense on the surface level, but I missed that it was a much older story and that little girls from the 40's in Europe would have loved it. Trailer looks exciting but I wonder where they are going to go from there. I assume this is where Homelander lasered a soldier since Stormfront says he committed a 'war crime' then you see him lasering across a crowd while unsuccessfully trying to calm them down. Also I wonder how the Black Noir vs Butcher throwdown is going to play out. Maybe Butcher eventually gets all the seven to turn on Homelander?

Regarding Butcher in the most recent episode: was I the only one half-expecting Butcher to murder Becca? They lingered on his crowbar very deliberately when he was packing his gear. Having his decade-long crusade fall apart in front of him and getting rejected by Becca -- for a SUPE kid -- would be enough to snap him. After all, he's just as obsessive and drat near as volatile as Homelander except without powers and the lack of accountability that came with them. He's going to beat someone to death with that crowbar.

Jeez, guys, can you help me out, is Stormfront some kind of racist? Just wondering because she's named after a Nazi website, her comic version was Nazi Captain Marvel, she uses Nazis aesthetics, she was calling people racial slurs while killing them, her or her mother was gratuituously killing black folks in the 70's, she uses alt-right language and approaches and her actress was calling the character a terrible racist. I just can't be sure of it.

While I was completely subsumed with dread during the entire episode, I never thought for a second Butcher would harm a hair on her head, and if I'm being honest, Becca being an extremely intelligent person, handling her emotions realistically, and still siding with her son over her ex-husband, even given the circumstances, makes her, like, the most fully realized strong female character in the show about women with super strength who can fly and shoot laser beams. Becca rules
