He's right about fighters not making weight but he's passionately upset about his teammate losing to a guy who missed weight. The guy who missed weight was a last minute replacement, got the call on 2 weeks notice and he wasn't even signed to the UFC at that point. I totally get it if guys miss on a full fight camp.

Don't take the fight if you can't make weight. Weight cuts as they are right now are incredibly dumb anyway. You should have to make weight for like a week straight, but that would require a huge re-alignment of all the fighters.

Fighters are already only making $12k/12k, take 90% of that away.... On the Morning Kombat show this morning they brought up an interesting solution of taking a point away from the over-weight fighter. Just like if they got deducted a point during the fight for breaking the rules.

The point would presumably be in addition to the lost money, and I doubt a commission would let someone fight two weight classes over the bout.

15% per pound and 1 point per 3 pounds seems about right to me. It feels much less gross when people are like, 0.5 or 1 over, instead of these cases of fighters being halfway to the next weight class.

I can definitely see a scenario where a fighter decides to cycle during the covid break knowing testing is far more unlikely and then fucks up their PCT. He's lost his last 5 fights, and 6 of his last 7, being finished in 4 of them He last won in May of 2015 He has wins over 0 active UFC fighters I guess at least he's not getting viciously KO'd, and fighting Court McGee this weekend he probably won't be, but drat.
