The owner ponied up for another second hand motor and lo behold it was actually viable. No start looks like the old engine just refused to get compression. This one took a few cranks but it got there

Stock up on popsicles if you can. Those were super helpful after my tonsil removal.

The surgery sounds like it will suck but your symptoms seem fairly bad, so I'd say it's worth it?

And when you are a Sys_admin and you have to check logs and network reports you do get to see a lot of things esp in a huge company.

I'm not a computer fondler professionally but I hang out with the tech and network guys at work a lot. My favorite story was when one of them found a meticulously organized folder full of high quality videos of women burping on a dudes workstation. Another lady has had to have her system reimaged three times due to pornsite malware.

They're both in the same department filled with unassuming older librarians lol.

It is nice knowing that they don't give a poo poo what I do online though as long as it's not crashing the network. I browse the forums and stream sports with impunity now.

Well we are actually ancient so uhhhh very much not bleeding edge. And our data analytics team is atrocious and mostly revolves around comparing to a rolling 4 week period. We've been around for 25 years, we are pretty much last to 'come' to the table with any new features or anything really. Some of the interesting correlations to like world cup matches and around holidays that you might not expect are pretty funny though. Like Christmas eve is terrible for us, but Christmas night is one of the best nights of the year revenue wise. Also new years day night.

Yeah I can imagine. And over 30 years I've seen a *hell* of a lot - so TBH it kinda just washes over me. What really makes me WTF tho is that users, even competent younger users bought up on tech have no real comphension people like us have access to see *everything* - not that I care mostly, the place I work for is just too big, spans too many countries and has waaaaaay too many systems to be sitting on the gateways and niggling over every bit of porn access.
