At some point you become so invested in a team you don't care which city they play for. Over three decades ago, I became a Broncos fan because they were the local team growing up. If they ended up moving to Utah I would still root for them.

Sorry but I'm going to lol forever at anyone dumb enough to keep rooting for a millionaire that just jumps ship for a bigger tax handout in another city. Not even Browns fans are that loving stupid. That's like rooting for British Petroleum after your spouse dies on the oil rig and have your shrimping business destroyed by the spill. You are the sucker in this relationship. I remember Pat Bowlen pulling the same routine to get the new mile high stadium built, he kept threatening to move the team to Houston if he didn't get enough free taxpayer money here. That was the beginning of the end of my love of football, I can't even imagine how naive and bored you'd have to be to keep rooting for a silly logo after a billion dollar scam like that. I mean I hate Dean Spanos intensely but have you seen the new stadium and what his team is worth now? It's more than a "bigger tax handout". It sucks for Charger fans, I understand that. I just want people to comprehend the business side of the decision.

It was absurd that they had no football team for so long, and even splitting it in two the same way NYC is, it's still a huge amount more than the san diego metropolitan media market https://mediatracks.com/resources/nielsen-dma-rankings-2020/ 1/2 of LA's market is still bigger than every other market below the top five coincidentally, the next largest media market in the country with no football team is sacramento, which is why I always thought the raiders should move there instead of las vegas, but I don't think sacramento was interested. e.
