we saw in wuhan in jan and italy in march that once your icu units are full mortality for hospitalized cases can climb to 7-10%, pushing the overall case mortality rate up above 2%. that's already started happening in specific places like el paso and the sturgis plaguelands, and i expect it to become the norm in a few more weeks, and pretty much universal by the end of the year. so we'll be looking at 5k+ dead per day.
