The movie has such a bizarre ending. The alien possessing John Agar is defeated using a tip from another alien that came from the same world. The girlfriend character tells John Agar this but the good alien took off for some reason so Agar just treats her like she's making it up. MOTHERFUCKER HOW DO YOU THINK SHE KNOWS ABOUT ANY OF THIS? Also guess we'll just ignore the fact that all the governments of the world are expecting him to show up at the UN to give them their new marching orders.

I also wasn't expecting the (spoilers for potential tw) attempted rape that happened not long after the alien took over Agar's body

Also bizarrely dark is how the other scientist hanging out at the beginning of the movie just gets kind of unceremoniously killed when the alien first arrives.

Shackling them to audience-provided content in the 'Live Riff-Along' was just cruel. Nobody could have made that material funny without mocking the content itself and that would have potentially turned the audience on them. It was lose-lose.

Go ahead and keep both the film and the jokes R-rated. It'd probably make more sense to make it a spin-off, though.
