My dad's biologist friend took us to watch a loggerhead sea turtle lay like 200 eggs on the beach once, that was maybe the most magical experience of my life :3 This one looks like a leatherback, I think they're even huger than loggerheads. I guess they're okay with being on the beach during daylight?

I signed up for a sea turtle hatchling release event, where we went to the beach at night and formed a protective escort for a tiny turtle to crawl into the ocean. I think they were afraid of raccoons or birds or crabs or stuff eating them. I got to watch a turtle the size of a quarter crawl slowly into a wave for 20 minutes through night vision goggles. Anyway we had to sit through like a 2 hour PowerPoint beforehand so now I know everything about turtle nesting habits. This sounds right to me.
