Yeah I had a great experience with the brand name Adderall XR but the generic is total garbage.

My insurance (for some reason) covered vyvanse but not brand name adderall so now I take that and it has been working pretty well. Not nearly as "peaky".

Opiates are pain meds, highly addictive, you won’t get prescribed these for depression.

Benzodiazepines are addictive, generally end in -pam, and are prescribed for anxiety and sleep disorders. Ativan and Xanax, for example.

SSRI is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor and keeps more of the serotonin (hormone that makes you feel at ease) in your brain. Prozac is a common one.

Theres a bunch of other ones. I quit cold turkey in 2019 because the Abilify and Wellbutrin would cost me $900 a month after being kicked off my wife’s insurance.

Again none of these work well with alcohol. Some of the metabolites of ethanol are a reset button on depression treatment, some benzos even act on the same receptors and you can literally die.

Seeking help is awesome. Acknowledging you need help is a huge step. But please be honest with the doctor and follow their instructions to the letter.

And since the VA won't let me have any controlled substances because I use medical marijuana, I'm gonna have to pay out the rear end to see a civilian doc just to get some more adderall and I'm wondering if all that is even worth it.

Effexor, and most other SSNRI's are great for depression, anxiety, and nerve pain, if that's a bit more up your alley

Yeah, but those dose inconsistencies are basically meal breaks, it's so hard to actually eat on adderall

Klonopin is a benzo, same class as Librium**, Valium, Xanax, etc - it has a moderate half life**

50mg of Librium is an elephant dose that's generally only used for the first couple of days of severe alcohol withdrawal. You'd be out for at least 24 hours with that, even if you're using it to treat alcohol w/d.

* Source: been through detox with Librium, did nothing but sleep for the first few days (which started at 50mg).

** Librium itself is a benzo, though it metabolizes into two others, IIRC. It's pretty strong on its own, and the metabolites are why it seems to last so long. Once you factor those in, it has one of the longest half lives out of any common benzo. Klonopin sticks around for a hot minute too.

This relationship stuff is stressing me out. I talked to a few of my married friends and they told me that I should just give it some space so I'm not going to do anything rash like breaking up with her right away.

I'm going to just try to put this out of my mind completely and focus on asking for a raise during my performance review next Monday and the trip I have planned to Austin Texas right after.

What's fun to do in Austin Texas these days with Corona? I'm really just visiting some close friends but I'd like to see some stuff too lol.

My friend in Wisconsin offered to sell me his Conquest TSI for $3500. Drive train is fine but there is rust. I'm not in a position to take on a project car at the moment (mostly because it's pretty hard to work on cars when you live in an Apartment lol). Still it's really tempting - I've always wanted a conquest and I understand that stock ones are pretty rare at this point. Plus the price is so low it's like why not?

Last night at Lowes I saw a guy and his girlfriend load up a cart of tools and just casually walk out. He briskly walked thru the lot and they loaded it into their Subaru shitbox while an employee watched from the door. I also kept my distance.

I'm not surprised at the event, but I am shocked that it's the second walk out tool robbery I've witnessed in the past year.

In 2000 it was Borders store policy that employees were to chase shoplifters and recover stolen merch. Until an employee somewhere got stabbed and they quietly changed the policy.

Anyways, I doubt anyone remembers my dental issues from years ago (extreme pain at random times, finally my parents paid for my mouth to be fixed and the dentist did a hack job) but I made an appointment to see an extremely well review dentist after having insurance for nearly 3 years. What in the poo poo? Seriously?

That's like the third dumbest idea I've heard this year and I've spent multiple hours reading about qanon.

Worst case if you don't care about it being a perfect restoration you could build your own external diode pack after mapping out the factory one and connect it to the stator wiring. There's nothing magical about them, just 6-12 beefy rectifier diodes pressed or soldered to a copper plate or two for convenience of assembly. Make sure you get the polarity right (sometimes half are cathode case and half are anode case for packaging and assembly reasons) and have a high enough PIV rating (even 50V should be enough) and forward current and you're good to go.
