I take it, 3 mg. I alternate between it and Ambien every three months so I don't build up a tolerance to either one. If I take either one for a long time they stop working.

It's a slower, longer lasting drowsiness than Ambien. Ambien wears off after a few hours and I sometimes wake and drowse for the last few hours before morning - but it hits like a ton of bricks when it kicks in. Lunesta comes on more gradually and is easier to resist. I have to consciously choose to go to bed and can't wait until I feel sleepy. Once I lay down and relax, though, I drift off pretty well.

You shared it with a dick.

My dad has this Volvo C70 that he bought with some side damage to fix and flip. All that was left to do on it when I got here was to swap the passenger seat cover for the right color, and reattach the headliner which had failed glue on the clips. Fixed those things and then realized it was due for timing belt. So I just did the timing belt, and we got it detailed and it's ready to sell. Except there's a puddle in the trunk. I pull the trunk liner and wipe up the water. 3 days later and the water hasn't evaporated. Oh great it's not water but hydraulic fluid for the convertible top mechanism.

So yeah fortunately there's this shop that specializes in repair and replacement of modern hardtop convertible hydraulics. I just spent the last 2 hours watching all their quite good youtube videos on how to repair the entire system. Now to track down the leak. At best it's a loose hose, at worst it's the entire main pump assembly. $500 rebuilt or $200-$600 used. The top still works so hopefully finding the leak is easy and I can just top up the fluid.

Get rid of the fish mouth and the pointless static pop ups and we're good, that model always looked cool as poo poo with the lights down anyway and we have frickin' laser headlights now so you can make that entire black section at the front a light bar which would clean up the front perfectly.

Someone didn't read the fine print: Legally, they CAN enter your home at any time to access the power meter/smart meter. Same goes for your gas regulator/meter.

Sovcit types back in the 90s used to suggest people put fences/etc around their meters to "prevent the company from cutting you off for unpaid bills" and, naturally, it didn't fly.

Fortunately no smell. It's a very watery fluid, completely clear and so watery I thought it was water. I'm going to try soap and a power wash on the carpet to see if it'll clean up.

I went back and investigated more, and the only bright side is there is no fluid leaking anywhere from the upper areas or the cylinders. It has to be coming from the pump location itself. Hopefully just a loose connection.

I almost had a similar issue when the ‘engineer’ came round to install my gas smart meter as he decided that my gas fire was unsafe (not leaking but not venting properly) - so I refused the meter install. Still haven’t managed to get it rescheduled post covid cancellations.
His office then reported it as a gas emergency and the gas board leak guy turned up expecting a big leak and said the engineer was an idiot as he could have just slapped a “do not use” sticker on it and done his stuff.

Heck yes. Make that paper and live well.

We are in the middle of the busiest time of the year and I am very literally losing my mind. I know it is not like this all the time but being up in 2020 over 2019 by an average of 40-50% for an entire year plus the added whatever you want to call what the pandemic adds it has really started to wear me down. Today has been a rollercoaster. My mom's best friend since dinosaurs had open heart surgery today. She coded. They got her back, but she's in the ICU now, and.... not looking good.

Of course, she called me just as I was leaving the observation area for my 2nd 5G chip implant with free tracking courtesy of Bill Gates, so I was already a little emotional.

The upside to today: I got to the vaccination site very early (drive-thru, where they jab you through the window, send you to another tent to be observed for 15 minutes, then you're on your way). I was the 9th car in line, but they had 5 tents (each serving 2 cars at a time), so we got split up. I was the first one of the day to actually get jabbed, and the first one to leave. :feelsgood:

Side effects from the 2nd dose kicking in a shitload earlier than they did with the first one. Weird chemical taste and smell that started a few minutes after the shot, +3.5 hours in now and have a hell of a headache and a good bit of fatigue, plus the usual injection site tenderness. Trying to knock out scooping the litter box, getting the trash and recycling out (several hours early, but gently caress them, they just raised my rent significantly AND raised the monthly fee for valet trash), and managed to get the dishes done. Had a couple of days worth of food delivered. And I'm flying solo, SO is out of town visiting family until Saturday.

Side of creepy: found a notice from Toyota about an airbag recall under the wiper of the Matrix when I got home. :tinfoil: I thought the recall had been done, but it turns out the passenger side one was never done. So I get to schedule that.

Ambien is instant blackout for me. Out of all the times I've taken it, it knocked me out once; the rest of the times have been hallucinations. The next morning I woke up feeling like poo poo, and found an empty Ambien bottle next to my bed + a few scattered pills (it was a full bottle, minus 1, when I went to bed). Walked out of my room and asked my roommates if they knew anything.

I got someone that was a bit more willing to look into poo poo on the phone today, they took the late fee off too. She did confirm their side shows my tag shows a negative balance of $50ish and that my tag does scan when I drive their roads, but then was like "wait, if it's negative, how are these tolls going through?". I was on their roads yesterday, everything went through fine, all the charges show up as paid. They conferenced TxTag in, TxTag confirmed my account had a positive balance at the time, and hasn't been negative in a good minute.

My tag is on autopay - when it drops below :10bux:, they hit my credit card for :10bux::10bux:. Then there's the time TxTag took their systems down for three loving months for a major overhaul; when all the tolls hit, it was a whole bunch of charges at once. :argh:

To be fair, US residential smart meters have a contactor built in that can shut you off whenever they drat well please, without pulling the meter. All they have to do is click a button on your account. The old meters needed someone to come out and yank it.

And if you yank the meter to bridge the contacts in the base to get your power back on (preferably with screwdrivers jammed in), they also get an alert that the meter hasn't checked in in the past 15 minutes, then 30, then 45... which looks really suspicious when all of your neighbors have power.
