The Rangers are just a terrible matchup for the Caps. When they aren’t skating circles around Washington they’re blocking a million shots like tonight. Also lol the Capitals went 7-0 when Wilson was suspended and immediately lose when he comes back.

It's a little unfair to compare since the NHL used cardboard cutouts for goalies in the 80s, but on the other hand the Oilers are getting a steady diet of Ottawa, Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal, so...

It sucks that we won't see a full 82 game season to see what he could do. That's my one regret with Crosby is that he got hurt when he had that crazy season going where he was on pace for like 60/60. I dunno if he woulda got there (probably not) but that concussion robbed him of what would likely have been the best regular season he would have put up. I hope McDavid has more video game seasons in him and that we're not gonna be asking what if with this season.

Leafs put Travis Boyd on waivers, he’s a pretty good fourth liner. Optimistic take is that this is clearing space for a trade, boring take is that they’re looking for him to clear so they can do the yo-yo cap space thing, pessimistic is that now the team is healthy for the first time in weeks he’s asked to go someplace he can play.

Mika's awesome but man it's gonna be tough to decide what to do going forward with him. I think he's got a lot of years of very high level hockey in him...he's so so so drat good when he's on, but somehow something manages to happen to him every year that messes up his season a bit. Injury, covid, etc....

He may very well wind up with excellent numbers this year after a terrible start - last year, despite injuries, we all know how good he was. And the previous season he was great as well. The Rangers have serious need at center and Zibanejad is a monster when he's on his game.
