Got my replacement The Midnight - Monsters vinyl in and to be honest I hadn't even listened to it on spotify because I was so disappointed that my copy was all messed up. It's very good and the new pressing is a bit better (or they just went through their stock and got rid of the bad ones)

The only other time I've heard of a similar concept was the Kid Koala book "some of my best friends are DJs". From hazy memories of what a friend told me, he did a book reading at the planetarium to launch it. (You buy the book, and get a Kid Koala CD soundtrack to play along with it for free). I like the idea of a curated soundtrack for a book.
