New Rise Against single, album out in June. This has grown on me a lot this week. https://open.spotify.com/track/74zUPQTB6HMnfS1cagJnd8?si=N3M5wEMeSGKXziOQi8_yGA We are the nowhere generation We are the kids that no one wants We are a credible threat To the rules you set A cause to be alarmed We are not the names we’ve been given We speak a language you don’t know If the chorus is too poppy for you, skip to 1:30 or so for the “you sold us the gently caress out” part

Most of the people who follow me on Twitter aren’t active/alive, so let’s play this here https://twitter.com/chadmuskehound/status/1373152726885003270?s=21 Hell I think that package cost me $300 and the main support didn’t even show.

https://intercourse.bandcamp.com/album/rule-36 This is probably my favorite currently active band. I mean just look at those lyrics. (And that Dorner shirt) This new one is good, but Everything is Pornography is my jam. Edit: Michale Graves can suck the poo poo right out of my rear end. Glad you all l like it! They sent me some patches when Beyond Human blew a speaker out in my old car and just kinda got a special place in my heart for it. Also if you listen to LPOTL and remember Henry giggling about a band called Intercourse sending him a shirt with an alien on it- that's the band called Intercourse.

Back in the day I lived a block away from the HotHouse's Milwaukee location and the poo poo they brought through this narrow loving room with no ventilation, it really lived up to its name. Today's WaPo featured a review of Bad Brains' first two albums and found concert footage from CBGBs. I really like them but hearing they got homophobic with Bob Mould when they stayed with the Huskers in Minneapolis is pretty disappointing

I may sound like an old man saying this but I listened to it yesterday and found the noisiness to be a barrier to my enjoyment of it Don't get me wrong, I enjoy some noise rock and I love HEALTH, for example. It just felt like, in this case, I would have enjoyed it a lot more had it not been so noisy. I could hear some songs I probably would've liked underneath the noise. Maybe it was just some part of the studio process? Seeing them live would probably change how I felt about this material. Or maybe I just need to listen to it again. I'm watching that video for An Iteration and I like the way that one sounds.

I hate that sort of thing too personally. Just a personal preference innit. I didn’t like it when title fight and people did it either. But also I’m very old.

Yo has anyone posted yet about Jeff Rosenstock's rerecording of last year's No Dream as Ska Dream? It has an absurd list of contributors for the various tracks, most predominantly Jer from Skatune Network/We Are the Union on Trumpet and Trombone. It loving rips and scratches an ASOB/BTMI itch I've had since I first listen to Vacation around it's release
