This piece of dogshit came today and I've been chuckling to myself since I opened it. The quality is surprisingly good! Almost a shame they weren't able to sell them to idiots for a bill a piece instead of the buck and change I got it for! Probably give it to a chud coworker when I'm done having my fun.

I've been looking at stuff like random gachapon/blind box figurines (rilakkuma and san-x and pokemon stuff, but also just those random things you see like the hedgehog glass hangers?) on aliexpress but from what I'm finding they all seem weirdly expensive for what they are? am I looking for the wrong stuff or am I just being overly cheap?

I can't speak for the other ones, but the chloranthy ring I've got was worth 2 bucks. Granted I don't actually wear it, it just sits on my bookshelf. But it doesn't seem flimsy or breakable. The lacquer is consistent and seems tough. The stone seems like it is set well. Also the stamina recovery enables me to spam R1 more frequently.

Blind boxes tend to be pricey because, weirdly for Aliexpress, most of them don't actually seem to be knockoffs? They're actual brand-name products, although often for brands I've never heard of. The few that I've bought (cool gem bats) were very high quality, good paint jobs and sturdy material. You'll find some knockoffs that are cheaper, but they'll usually be sold as straight toys/figurines, not blind boxes. The cool Anubis chase figurine that first showed up in my recs months ago haunts me. It's so expensive to buy outright. It's so cool looking. Why was I put on this earth just to suffer.  He's $520 and he knows it.

They feel better than I expected for the price, they are zinc alloy not plastic. There is some offcenter wonkiness and I had to paint over a scratch on the Silvercat ring, but still good enough that I may have ordered 10 more versions  .If you're going to wear them I'd paint over the inside with clear nailpolish and you should be good !
