CALLING ALL NOAH WATCHERS, THIS SHOW FUCKIN SLAPPED AND YOU NEED TO WATCH IT

NOAH N-1 VICTORY 2021 ~Special Prologue~September 6th
MOTYC
Momo no Seishun (Daisuke Harada, Atsushi Kotoge and Hajime Ohara) vs Stinger (Seiki Yoshioka, Yuya Susumu and Hayata)
- Four great Junior Heavyweights (and two that can be carried) have an absolute loving war. This is just a preview of future title matches, and these six just go full throttle (if you'll pardon the pun) in a way that makes me so goddamn hype for future matchups. The juniors have been killing it lately, the stability of the last few months have paved the way for a bunch of rocking matches.

Kenoh, Masa Kitamiya, Takashi Sugiura and Kotaro Suzuki vs Kaito Kiyomiya, Katsuhiko Nakajima, Daiki Inaba and Akitoshi Saito - Elimination match
- I had some high expectations for this match, and every single match so far had heavily surpassed my expectations. I was right to hold the bar high, this loving ruled and made me so drat keen to see these dudes next week. Everyone was on fire, everyone got to shine, even Saito decided to stiff the gently caress out of everyone. The strange team makeups led to tensions between regular partners and double teams that only existed in my dreams (I marked the gently caress out when Sugiura and Kitamiya started posing together to taunt the blue corner). I was also really happy that Suzuki didn't seem out of place, he's the only Junior in the tournament but everyone was treating him like a legitimate threat. Goddamn I'm so excited for the N-1 to start

HM
Junta Miyawaki & Kinya Okada vs Kai Fujimura & Yasutaka Yano
- Holy poo poo, this ruled, it's like NOSAWA knew it was a weak card so he told the young boys to just go all out. Okada's kicks are so heavy, he's got a place in my boys stable for years to come

Muhammad Yone vs Ikuto Hidaka
- Coward Nosawa put Yone in the N1. gently caress it, put both these guys in, who cares that Hidaka is a Jr. This was a really cool grappling match interspersed with the kind of shots Yone took in his Battlarts days. NOAH has does some really incredible Jr vs Heavyweight matchups this year

King Tani vs Manabu Soya
- Two beef boys just beat the poo poo out of each other for 15 minutes. If the sound of that appeals to you then watch this match.

I really wasn't expecting much from this card but I was super pleasantly surprised, everyone had their working boots on to make sure I was maximum hyped for the N-1 next week. Every single one of the matches slapped.

Link to the show for people who don't have Wrestle Universe. Whole show is great but main event starts around 2:31:00 and is absolutely phenominal.

Two possible detractions:
- No commentary, but i'd argue it just makes it sound all the sweeter when all 8 guys are stiffing the poo poo out of each other
- The length. It's 55 minutes bell to bell which is too long for some people, but it felt like barely half that to me. The sheer amount of combinations possible meant there was very little down time

I just can't stop thinking about that main event, it was absolutely insane.

Purple Haze (Zeus and Izanagi) (c) vs #STRONGHEARTS (T-Hawk and El Lindaman) - All Asia Tag Team Titles

NEXTREAM (Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi) (c) vs Shotaro Ashino and Suwama - AJPW World Tag Team Titles

The first match is a very fun tag match worth watching for Vikingo alone. The second is a very solid match marred by Villano III Jr. getting knocked loopy by a Octagon kick. Villano returns to the match later, and is stretchered out after the fall, probably for effect? It's hard to say.

The Dome shows have the issue that because its two days they have the best all around show being day one but the best match and main event being day two so it's an out of this world show split into two lesser parts. And gently caress the battle royal they had day one and the four man day two those are two of the worst matches ever.

FREEDOMS ERE Produce ERE Night
Masashi Takeda vs Takuyuki Ueki vs Toshiyuki Sakuda vs Violento Jack

It's a largely skippable card but the main event, the 4 members of ERE facing off. Jack is the current champ, Takeda challenges him at Tokyo Deathmatch Carnival Vol.2, while Sakuda & Ueki are the tag champs, so they are running wild in FREEDOMS, knocking off Unchain as the top dogs. Anyway, this is a match that has some great stuff between Jack & Takeda building up that match, some loving gnarly skewer-through-the-cheeks spots because those are always gnarly, Ueki's trademark horrific headbutts, & plenty other sick spots.

Far from the best death match of the year but it's still pretty cool if you're a sick gently caress into that sort of thing.

Obviously a matter of personal taste but I definitely have Wrestle Kingdom night 2 over Wrestle Grand Slam in Tokyo Dome. Takagi Cobb & Ibushi White are both 4 3/4 * matches & Ishimori Hiromu was a HM, where as WGSiTD, I had Takagi Tana at 4 1/2 & both Despy Eagles & Cobb Okada at HM level, plus the WMOTYC Rambo.
