People are taught about politics in incredibly shallow, vague and loaded ways, on purpose.

People love Kim so much that if you go to the Steam guides theres one for getting the achievement ASAP so you can play the rest of the game normally with Kim your cool gay pal.

My advice on how to play Disco Elysium is good and made in the purest faith. Not everyone has time for multiple play throughs, and maxing out your stats allows you to see the most content in a single play through. Also most of the community sees the mod that let's you put Cuno in contact with a social worker as cannon anyway.

It's Revachol West. The closest thing to a social worker is Harry.

I am suddenly super curious about if you can steal the boots when Kim is gone, wait until he returns, then try cooking them when he is in your party the next day. Not possible I also found out by complete accident if You arrest Klassje and thus have Kim sent away for the day, you can then pass out after reading the note in your ledger, and Kim will return with his souped up motor carriage to give you water. He even mentions he was done with what he was sent away for by the time he is alerted to you passing out, so he decided to come back and help you for the day like normal EorayMel fucked around with this message at 21:11 on Sep 29, 2021 |

Not sure if this has been discussed already but I recently watched the documentary Struggle on Netflix, about Polish sculptor Stanislaw Szukalski (1893-1987). He was quite a character to say the least. His politics were hard to figure out but my take from the doco was that he veered from anti-imperialist to nationalist/fascist and back again over his life. Posting about it here because I suspect his work may have been part of the inspiration behind some of the art in Disco Elysium, in particular the art for Authority: Thinking about it as I post this, he might have been part of the inspiration for Harry too with his contradictory and rather incoherent politics. Definitely an interesting watch. Wafflecopper fucked around with this message at 09:48 on Oct 1, 2021 |

Still on my first playthrough, just about to wrap up Day 3. I got into the church and thanks to a clutch high roll managed to talk to the crab man in the shadows. If I'd failed that check would I have missed him altogether? In the church I suddenly realised that Kim's portrait has his head illuminated by a halo, like a saint. I also found Klaasje again and realised she looks a lot like Laura Dern.

I thought authority was supposed to look like a Doberman/man the same way one of those pictures of a cup or is it two dudes about to kiss or is it an old hag or a young woman pictures.

There was a long and excellent post earlier in this thread about portraits and ideologies if someone could find it and re-post it here, but yeah generally speaking you can tell the nature of a character by how they're portrayed there

Every time I go to the The GAP and ask for bootcut jeans they bring the lead singer of Counting Crows out of the back room to tell me the 90's are over and it's just really hurtful and insulting, I'm trying to buy pants.
