I doubt he will, considering this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/COPYRIGHT/comments/nivf7c/jincheng_zhang_the_stealer_of_ncs/ Sounds like he just puts his name on stuff from the Youtube Audio Library and other royalty-free sources. Which at least means you might be able to search the YAL yourself and find where he took the sample from.

There's a list of "his" songs and their actual writers here, but it doesn't look like the song in question is there https://horriblemusicandsongs.miraheze.org/wiki/Jincheng_Zhang

I like that people are mad this guy is doing exactly what royalty-free music is made for but in a slightly different way. "Did you know this popular YouTuber does not make the music for his videos?!" "Yeah, nobody does." "But this one does not give them credit!" "Who does?" (selling the songs directly is certainly a twist on this formula, but how is that any different than having someone else make the music for your vocals?)

royalty-free music isn't designed so that people can sell it as their own, virtually (or in some cases completely) unchanged. this guy just seems like a grifter trying to make money off other people's work. the YouTuber analogy doesn't work because in that situation they are using royalty-free music as intended, i.e as incidental music that is not the actual focus or content of the video.

I'm trying to identify a song from the early 90s (possibly late 80s?), but I have very little information on it aside from these facts: - The song was entirely on the piano - I'd guess the genre was something like jazz piano, as a result? - This particular song was a very lively one, the rest of the CD was pretty chill - My dad used to play it on our Macintosh in like 1995 (he doesn't recognize the melody) - The CD cover was blue (or maybe grey?) and had a picture of some bearded guy on the back And a crappy reproduction of the main melody that I made in Renoise: https://voca.ro/1fiZHLD33yNj I can't find poo poo on the internet about it. I don't expect anyone to recognize it, but hopefully someone does or I'm liable to just give up and assume it was never real cause seriously it's been 25+ years.

I need help trying to find a name for a song. It appears in the UK TV show Skins. The final series consists of six two part episodes telling the story of a character from a previous series now that they're "grown up'. The final two episodes are named Rise (part I and II). In part I, the main character Cook takes a girl to buy a dress for an upcoming party. While they're in the dreas shop, this funky song plays in the background with these lyrics. I need a woman to help me through the night, I've gotta real fine love makin everything alright Always makes me feel good, feel good every day, Shazam did me no favours as the song doesn't last long enough to get an ID and googling the lyrics just brings me to a very poor transcript of the episode. I don't know why this has stuck in my memory ever since seeing this episode air in 2013, it's not even a particularly good song but I have never come close to finding out the artist or title. The episode can be viewed on Netflix or Channel 4's streaming service. Skins: series 7, episode 5 and begins about 24 minutes into the ep. Any help would be appreciated!

But, at the end of the day, the question I was really trying to answer was "Where have I heard this from?" And the answer is "YouTube" so the exact song name isn't important I guess. Thanks, everyone!

trying to remember a song, all I remember is the basic sense of the music video 80s R&B, duet between two singers, a woman and a man the video has them singing in a park, and they take cover from the rain under a brick bridge and continue singing I don't think it's Teddy Pendergrass, but my brain keeps telling me it is.

Pop-punk song/band, could be goon related. I think the album cover was teeth on a pink background. Hoarse shouty vocals. There was a song that was called 'twin peaks' or something along those lines about taping a bottle of soda in each hand and chugging them down. Also they had a videoclip of the vocalist running around shirtless in the snow edit: found it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tKWHdlqVB8 ElectricBlizzard fucked around with this message at 00:58 on Oct 13, 2021 |

Me and a buddy were talking about hokum blues and he said this:quote:There was one I can't find the name for, where a dude having an affair hid in the ceiling above the door when her old man came home. But his nuts were hanging down and the guy noticed and asked what they were. The woman said new doorbells, so the guy swatted them with a newspaper and the guy in the ceiling yelled "ding dong". May not be hokum but I can’t find anything at all.
