This is probably what the specialists were mainly designed for. Still don't see why they couldn't just have distinct factions in All Out Warfare, though. While it does look interesting, I'm still going to wait to see if the manage to sort out mouse controls and the godawful gunplay (and also remove specialists from All Out Warfare. Do it  !)

I've not been moved by the beta into pre-ordering, and will probably wait a few weeks for the most issues to be resolved. To be fair with what little I got to experience in those 2 days it felt like so many features had been removed in comparison to even BF3 that you wonder if many have been stripped only to be added back in in paid DLC, or how many little things weren't there because "it was a beta" or "it was disabled". It was a mis-step to do the open beta build before being feature complete. I will for sure be lurking in thread during launch day however, goon opinion from the test is so skewed. For posters who were saying they enjoyed spending a fair amount of time spotting using the recon specialist drone; were you aware had reintroduced "C4 MAVs" from old BF4 before they patched it out? I spent an enjoyable afternoon delivering C5 to snipers in remote holes from 300m away using that neat "new" feature. Made me giggle like an idiot every time.

I don't know if you guys remember this but Dice had a machine learning application to censor bad words in BF:V. At some point about two-three years ago it picked up my name as a bad word and I haven't been able to type in the chat box since.

What DICE has said is that there are community servers via portal, ie the same Community Games system thay BFV uses, tweaked a bit to have persistent ban lists but no way to assign moderators.

I mean, the trailer was neat and it sounds real fun but all we saw of actual gameplay was dudes walking?? and some jeep action. Would've been sweet to try that out and make sure its not another firestorm disaster waiting
