I am absolutely in love with the new Low album.

Oh hell yes Caroline Rose is coming to Chicago, to Lincoln Hall.

Finally I have a show booked for lincoln hall in the Eye of the pandemic and finally I will hopefully be able to see Caroline Rose.

Also seconded for Dear Rouge to come to the states. I want to see them play Basic in person

Very much looking forward to new Circle stuff up next month after uncommonly long break, and it being a collaboration with Richard Dawson. "Lily" that came out in September was already cool (and the video has Steve Davis snookering it up!) but "Methuselah" from week back I've really been playing a lot.

spoon are weird cause I like all of their albums basically but I saw them live like 15 years ago and every song sounded basically identical to one another. maybe it was just the setlist but drat what a boring show.

Chvrches released 3 b-sides from Screen Violence today. All are pretty solid, Bitter End is real good.

Album has held up well for me, one of my favorites of 2021.

I can't believe this album is 20 years old :eyepop: Though that makes sense, since I discovered it in like '05 and that was 16 years ago. Christ, I'm getting old.

It's real neat hearing these demos and alternate takes of songs I've loved for many years.

Yesterday Minus the Bear put out a live album that they recorded on their final tour a few years ago and it's really good. There's 26 tracks on it and it's just hit after hit after hit. If you're a fan, definitely give it a listen. I'm so fortunate I got to see them on that tour (and several others, as well!),

We'll probably never see another Alabama Shakes record ever again but they did drop an expanded deluxe edition of Sound and Color With few songs added songs, an unreleased song, and capital records live session. Live on all streaming platforms rn.

The capital records songs are really worth it on their own if you have the recent deluxe black puma record with similar sessions on them.

I’ve seen them 4-5 times in a variety of settings. They’re just very mediocre live. They’d probably be decent in a small 300 person venue, but they’re way too big for that at this point.

Yeah, I always enjoyed listening to them, but when I saw them open for Arcade Fire on the Suburbs tour, this was basically it. Every song sounded the same. I sort of felt bad for them because nobody was really paying attention to them at all and just meandering about.

I wasn't crazy about Painting With but everything they've put out since has been great imo and I like this song too. From this and watching their recent set at Pitchfork I feel like they've finally become the chill jam band they've sometimes threatened to be in the past.

Also Panda Bear looks miserable in that video.
