Also my furnace is super old and "not really serviceable" according to the last HVAC guy who looked at it. I'm hoping to hold out until Spring to get that and the AC replaced. Anywho, using space heaters instead of your home heating can be fine but like that one goon said, some of them run at like 1400W and lol at running that for extended periods of time

my apartment has one of those in-wall electric heaters from approximately one million years ago i only use it on nights like, well, last night.

"Notre Dame burned, Costco didn't." was mine. "It's a lot of meat to take if you're not prepared" was also mine. I'm damned proud to be a two-time Costco thread namer. Is there money?

You know you'd just spend the money at Costco.

I don’t have a heater because it was a poo poo inefficient wall heater so I ripped it out since it rattled like crazy when cars drove by and was too close to my speakers anyway My water heater is in the corner of my kitchen though so if I am really cold I’ll take a shower and it will raise my apartment temp to like 68-70

By no means am I saying it isn't gross, undersized, or any other bad thing you can say about it. However. It has onions. Why hath Costco forsaken us wrt onions? I just need a little tangy crunch in my dog. Please Costco, give us the crunch.

But I'm jealous of all of you. I’m more or less single and don’t have a chest freezer and shop once a month or every other month at costco. Their prices on seafood, meat, alcohol, and dry bulk products are really great relative to the quality. My regular rear end apartment freezer with ice maker can hold a pack of two whole chickens, ground beef, chicken thighs, a box or two of ready-to-cook stuff, some fish, a pack of ribeyes, and sometimes a pork shoulder that I’ve trimmed and portioned. Also omg the price of their extra firm tofu packs is wowwowowow so cheap as are most of their other goods

Not to continue the sams club talk, but you could actually use their app as a self checkout. As you're shopping you just scan whatever into the app and when you're done shopping you pay through the app and show the receipt on the app to the door person and out you go, never have to step foot at a real register. It was kinda cool.

I have one, it’s great! I live in Chicago in an old building with building controlled water baseboard heaters and it really saved me the 3 times in one month that the heat went out.

Chinatown posted:my apartment has one of those in-wall electric heaters from approximately one million years ago Those awful Cadets? I lived in a rental ~15 years that had those. I woke up one night to the smoke alarm going off because the one in the living room was shooting out flames. Fortunately it didn't ignite anything else before I shut the breaker off. The repair guy said they have a failsafe mechanism that supposedly prevents that but I guess it failed too. They sucked at heating and cost a ton to run in a crappy house, even in the mild PNW.

Any trip reports on the small-ish Fridgemaster refrigerators? They seem like a better alternative to one of those cube mini fridges. It’s between that one and a similar one from Danby at the business center. We’re trying to decide

It works great but yeah added about another 10bux to my electric bill from her using it like 4 hours a day. It makes my girlfriend happy since somehow her fingers are ice at all time or something? I don’t really understand how that is possible. But she loves that thing so A+ recommendation from her.
