Also I think somebody was asking earlier about the English dub? Something I only learned recently was that the dub VA for Urahara, Michael Lindsay, died a few years ago. Really sucks. He was one of my favorite characters and when the dub switched up a ton of VAs, they kept him on as Urahara. I wonder who will replace him. Anyway, RIP.

Aizen was good during SS (his reveal) where he was the Secret Boss and in the Quincy arc (Chairzen) where he was the teammate nobody wanted. He was pretty boring in the arc where he was actually the main villain.

Opposite to the current topic, the one anti-hype character that I was always bored to see was Ikkaku. His sword can turn into a spear that can fold 3 times, wow. And then his bankai is 2 big swords that get powered up as he gets beat up but he can't take a beating.

thread, i have a confession to make i never actually finished bleach. i gave up on the thousand year blood war arc sometime around ichigo climbing a tower several times in a row. i am super excited to see chair aizen actually do something, and i hope the version of this arc i see will actually be the good version

drat, I haven’t watched the Bleach anime in forever but Number One is probably one of the most hype main character themes I’ve heard in a while. Also sometimes this series really catches me off guard with its humor, I don’t think I expected Ichigo to get into an argument with a lesbian because of him lying about borrowing her porn. Stop lying about being horny Ichigo, just admit it.

I also started rereading the manga from scratch and now I'm on chapter 145 on the Shounen Jump site. Here are some observations.
The SS arc really does not let up once and is extremely rewarding. Renji had a bright future once. Nothing but respect for my baboon wolf guy or whatever

It was Lisa the Visored. Don't think she's a lesbian though becauee she was Shunsui's previous love interest before Nanao. The Visoreds were the best, most squandered thing in all of Bleach. I loved Shinji and Hiyori's introduction, even though I'm not at all sure how Shinji looked young enough to get into Ichigo's high school.... I'm still made they swapped out Hiyori's first dub VA for Laura Bailey doing a generic Laura Bailey voice. (I guess manga ending spoilers...?) Kubo, like KIshi, seemed to feel the need to pair everyone up at the end. But at least with Kubo, Renji and Rukia being a couple made a lot of sense and I'm happy that became canon. Even though the relationship he establishes for them in SS is blatantly something he made up after Renji's actual introduction....
