How hard would it be to design an accelerator pedal that disengages and sounds an alarm if you mash it hard enough I know it shouldn’t be necessary to idiot proof cars to that degree but there sure are a lot of them on the road make it display BRAKE IS OTHER PEDAL, DUMBASS in the instrument panel too

in my Audi if it detects that you’re approaching the vehicle in front of you too quickly it doesn’t accelerate if you’re on the gas and at a certain point will begin slamming the brakes
