I remember getting a Voodoo 3 3000 PCI and finally being able to play Half Life. (I got conned by Compaq because I'd bought a PC with "AGP graphics" but that just meant the motherboard had a lovely graphics chip soldered into the AGP bus. There was no AGP connector lmao.)

half life was loving amazing for the time and it's still impressive i think i had a voodoo 2 at the time, maybe it was a voodoo 3. i ditched 3dfx by the time the geforce 2 was out

Nah being that exited for Half Life is ok I just thought the vid was a funny blastt from the past. I had a friend who was obsessed with the game at the time and was basically that guy. Also an uncle of mine who is a widower remarried and when I met his wife like 5 years back (they were both pushing 80) she was talking about her nephew. "He's just turned 40 and decided to retire.
