welp, I can no longer change my work password because my workstation rejects every new password as failing to meet complexity requirements. IT support watched me type out a "password" exceeding every requirement in notepad, copy it, go to change password, paste it into the "new password" box, and have it rejected. this has been dubbed "strange".
