Musk's multiplanetary ambitions today are more credible because SpaceX has taken steps toward doing what he said the company would do. lmao nope sorry. they haven't "completed" any test flights quote:If thousands of launches seem impossible, Musk noted that SpaceX has now completed 327 successful Falcon launches and that 80 percent of those have involved used boosters. This year, he said, SpaceX will launch about 90 percent of the mass sent into orbit from the planet. China will launch about 6 percent, he added, with the remainder of the world accounting for the other 4 percent. thousands of launches of starship seem impossible. how many of those 327 successful launches were starship? oh that's right, according to *checks notes* you, none Beeftweeter fucked around with this message at 18:27 on Apr 8, 2024 |

so the FSD (Supervised) technology obviously requires a human in the driver's seat to prevent it from crashing, and obviously they can't make a robotaxi out of that in four months if the car can only move with a human in the driver's seat though i guess you could make a tech bubble style scooter app, except with teslas instead of scooters just find a discarded robotaxi tesla in the street, use the tesla robotaxi app to unlock it, drive it where you're going and abandon it in the street at night low paid contractors* with rented tow trucks fan out over the city to find the remaining tesla robotaxis with four working wheels and drag them back to the depot** to charge * musk superfan volunteers ** their home garages lmao

yeah i don't know what they're going to try to do considering their poo poo is only certified to work autonomously with someone having their hands on the wheel whatever it is, undoubtedly it will be real loving dumb. keep in mind the cybertruck doesn't even support fsd at all

also that deposition he did for his latest lawsuit (being sued for accusing a 22-year-old jewish guy of being a fed and a neo-nazi on twitter) dropped and lmao https://www.huffpost.com/entry/elon-musk-didnt-want-his-latest-deposition-released-here-it-is_n_66133d2ce4b0d81853f9a766 quote:During his deposition, Musk admitted he has a “limited understanding” of the lawsuit against him, said he thought Brody’s attorney was the one suing him, and revealed he did no research in determining whether Brody was involved in the brawl after seeing the accusations on X. he also admitted that account where he role-played as his own toddler was indeed him

any robotaxi he releases will presumably just be driven by team of drivers from india working remotely, or FSD without the nagging. Either way it will meet no certifications or standards for the road, but never the less will be available.
