Few would ever choose such a life. Choice for some however is a luxury… Welcome to Rimworld 2! Info This is a Mafia game for 25 players. My setups often involve unusual mechanics or actions that (despite my best efforts) may not be entirely balanced so be warned. This game in particular includes unusual night kill mechanics. This game does not contain alignment changes or other bastard mechanics. Please don’t be put off by the player count. This game should have high levels of lethality. Game days will be 48-72 hours. Nights will be up to 24 hours if actions are submitted in good time and may end early if all actions are submitted early. This may drift at the beginning due to the high number of night actions I need to process. Deadlines after Day 1 will be set based on the previous hammer, early hammers are encouraged! A discord server is setup to manage all the behind the scenes bits and pieces/OTT activity: https://discord.gg/HvYmyrKEn9 Rules Standard mafia rules apply: - Don’t be an arsehole. - Do not edit your posts. - Do not post about game business after the hammer, if it looks like I’m not going to be around when it drops feel free to remind other posters. This includes if auto-hammer does not fire for whatever reason. - Lurker rules are as follows; you will receive one warning if you have less than 10 posts at end of day. You will then be modkilled if you fall below this a second time. This limit will be lowered to 5 posts if the day ends 12-24 hours before deadline and removed if it ends >24 hours before deadline. - Do not directly quote role pm’s or other mod correspondence in thread or in any OOT channels unless given specific permission from a mod. - Please do not post if you are dead. - Please do not post if you have been targeted by any day actions until they have been resolved. - Do not fake day actions. - No replacements after D2. - Flavour may or may not mean anything, alignments have been assigned randomly and/or anti-town players may have been provided with fakeclaims. Eliminations Eliminations will be by plurality vote with majority hammer enabled, to vote for a player please use the format ##vote playername and ##unvote to unvote. All commands must be placed within bold format brackets to be picked up by votefinder (e.g [ b ] ##vote ObamaAkbar. [ /b ], without the spaces). Night Actions All night actions will receive one of the following results regardless of their effect: Your action was successful = Your action has successfully resolved. Your action failed = Your action was blocked in some way and has not resolved. Your action was partially successful = For actions with multiple effects. Some of the effects of you action successfully resolved, others were blocked in some way. If an action is single use then it will only be depleted when that action successfully resolves. Killing actions that hit a protected player for example count as resolved actions and will be expended. Actions that give you information will return results in the following rough format: Your target visited PLAYERNAME. You will usually not be informed if your action was redirected or interfered with in some other way. Rely solely on night action results at your own peril! Players:

The mechanics for this game will largely revolve around the use of one-shot items, although other more orthodox role powers will also exist. Actions Every player will begin the game with two actions per PHASE. What type of actions you can take will depend on whether it is DAY or NIGHT. Unless otherwise specified the same action can be taken multiple times in the same phase. Day Actions Day actions, like night actions, are mainly taken by communicating privately to the mod in your confessional. Actions happen immediately although flips will be delayed until end of day to allow other players to retroactively block any damage. Possible actions include: Give Item: Pass an item of your choice to another player. Equip Item: Items such as armour clothing or traps can be equipped, activating them. Use Item: Items that specify they CAN or MUST be used during the day can be expended. The item must be activated openly in thread using the command ##ITEMNAME TARGET unless the item description says it can be used privately. Night Actions Unless specified otherwise items or role actions must be used at night. Possible actions include: Obtain Item: Roll for a random item from the list of those available (posted at end of each day). Your role will likely heavily limit which type of items you can obtain this way. Give Item: Pass an item of your choice to another player. Only items that you already hold going into the night can be gifted. Equip Item: Items such as armour clothing or traps can be equipped, activating them. Use Item: Activate an item of your choice. Only items that you already hold going into the night are available for use. Role Ability: Use an available role power. May be limited to one use per night, consult role PM. Damage Killing actions in this setup are slightly more complicated than just successfully hitting your target. Damage dealt by weapons, missions or other actions must penetrate the target’s clothing, armour and other protective items. The damage must then match or exceed the target’s remaining HP to kill them. Partially injuring your target will still apply negative effects however. Damage is applied in the following order: Armour -> Clothing -> Medicine/Meals -> Player Items that only recover HP (non-meal food items) take effect AFTER damage is applied and therefore cannot block kills. If you deal damage your victim will receive flavour letting them know they’ve been attacked. Health Surviving an assassination attempt or a dangerous mission can still leave you with a handicap, this is represented by your HP: Healthy (3 HP): You have no injuries and may take all available actions. Wounded (2 HP): You have mild injuries and will lose one of your actions. Incapacitated (1 HP): You have serious injuries and will be unable to take any actions, including volunteering for missions. Dead (0 HP): You have sustained mortal wounds and are dead. If you are killed during the day you will not be permanently dead until that day ends in order to allow other players to revive you via items. Players will automatically recover 1 HP at the end of each night if they do not sustain further damage. Equipped Items Certain items, such as clothing, armour or traps, will only have effects if equipped or activated. These must be equipped using an action. Worn items occupy slots, representing body parts, limiting which items can be worn together. The main equipment slots are: Head: Helmets and Hats. Torso: Shirts and Vests. Waist: Specialised belts. Upper-body: Jackets and Dusters. Legs: Pants. And one special case: Body: Represents large one piece equipment covering the torso, upper-body and legs. Traps are not equipped on the body but instead protect you at night. Once activated they remain active until triggered or replaced. Only one trap can be active at a time. Missions Each day all players will have the opportunity to gain items to use the following night by volunteering for dangerous missions. Once mission choices have been posted in thread all players will have 24 hours to lock in their choice. Not volunteering at all is also an option. If the day ends early then mission choices will be immediately locked. Missions take place between day and night and players who flip during the day will be removed from whatever mission they volunteered for. Each mission will be posted in the following format: Defend Crash Site While you have constructed rudimentary shelter the crash site is still largely exposed. Posting guards could help increase security against opportunistic raiders. Mission Rewards 1 x Spear: Long stabbing weapon. 1 x Herbal Medicine: Basic plant based medicine. 1 x Pemmican: Preserved blend of meat and vegetables. Tastes awful. Failure Penalty 5 damage randomly dealt out. Manpower Table Volunteers 1. 2. 3. 4. Items and damage is dealt out randomly to volunteers at the end of the day. Damage is dealt out evenly but will prioritised those who win items, followed by those with armour/clothing. Players must indicate in thread which mission they wish to volunteer for, e.g ##Defend Crash Site. If any mission does not gain the required number of volunteers for the lowest rung on the manpower table it will fail and the mission fail penalty will be applied. Certain items can be donated to your chosen mission to reduce overall damage. This will be made clear in the item description. If you wish to do this please add ITEMNAME to the end of your volunteer post. Volunteering or donating items DOES NOT count as an action.
