Last month's recap:
  • WWE insisted on running Wrestlemania as a two-night Empty Arena Show in the WWE Performance Center despite COVID-19 putting most of the entire planet into lockdown and the population told to maintain social distancing and avoid gathering in public.
  • Roman Reigns continued to be advertised against Bill Goldberg at Wrestlemania despite Roman having pulled out of the show due to health concerns re: COVID-19. 1 day before Wrestlemania, it was quietly mentioned with no explanation that Braun was facing Goldberg. Roman's name was not mentioned.
  • The Smackdown tag titles were retained at Wrestlemania in a triple threat singles match. Miz was not in the match due to being "injured" during a brawl on Smackdown. Miz was actually sent home for showing up to the tapings sick. Also he stood tall and victorious after said brawl.
  • Becky Lynch and Bayley retained their Women's Titles at Wrestlemania. Charlotte Flair defeated Rhea Ripley to become the new NXT Champion. Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg lost their world titles to Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman respectively. The Kabuki Warriors lost their Women Tag Titles to Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.
  • Two "cinematic matches" - The Boneyard Match between AJ Styles and Undertaker and The Firefly Funhouse Match between John Cena and The Fiend Bray Wyatt - were arguably the utter highlights of Wrestlemania weekend.
  • Rob Gronkowski won the 24/7 Title at Wrestlemania, then promptly went back to the NFL as a football player.
  • Drew McIntyre defeated The Big Show in a title match that was claimed to have happened directly after Wrestlemania went off the air.
  • Zelina Vega and Zelina Vega's Stable of Pretty Men featured heavily on Raw throughout the month.
  • Johnny Gargano won the blow-off match in the long running feud with Tommaso Ciampa, thanks to a heel turn by Candice LeRae.
  • Despite defending his Intercontinental Title at Wrestlemania, Sami Zayn has not been mentioned once since despite storyline heavy segments featuring stablemates Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro.
  • Seth Rollins, who lost at Wrestlemania, is getting a title shot against Drew McIntyre. Kevin Owens, who beat Seth, hasn't been seen or mentioned since soon after Wrestlemania.
  • The Fiend Bray Wyatt looks set to regain the title he lost pointlessly to Bill Goldberg at a Saudi Arabia Blood Money show.
  • The Money in the Bank PPV this year will feature wrestlers fighting from the ground floor of WWE Corporate Headquarters to the top floor and climbing a ladder to retrieve the MITB briefcase.
  • Timothy Thatcher replaced Pete Dunne as Matt Riddle's temporary tag team partner in NXT.
  • Legendary announcer Howard Finkel passed away.
  • The New Day became the new Smackdown Tag Team Champions by BIG E winning another triple threat match between singles competitors.
  • WWE fired an absolute shitload of wrestlers for absolutely no reason despite admitting they'd suffered no financial hardship from the COVID-19 situation, during a time where there are no other promotions hiring and very few running any events. Two fired wrestlers (Sarah Logan and Drake Maverick) have continued to be used or referenced in ongoing storylines despite being legitimately fired.
  • El Hijo del Fantasma debuted on NXT.
  • Wrestlers keep getting kidnapped by masked men, who have failed twice to kidnap Fantasma.
  • Extremely serious allegations about Velveteen Dream sending sexually explicit images and messages to minors were made, including an audio segment of him asking an underage boy "What school do you go to?"
  • Jerry "The King" Lawler insisted that calling a senton by Akira Tozawa a "Ramen Noodle Moonsault" wasn't racist and didn't even make a non-apology apology for it.
  • Vince McMahon cut an incoherent, rambling promo at HHH during a 25-year celebration of HHH's career.
  • WWE's ratings have continued to fall, including near record lows for both Raw and Smackdown. NXT managed narrow victories in total viewers for 2 weeks of the month over AEW Dynamite.
  • WWE held an Investor's Conference Call rescheduled to AFTER the market closed, where they revealed that despite the recent mass firings there had been zero financial hardship from COVID-19. The stock rose 11 dollars from the start of the month to $44.47, despite every single business metric besides the locked in TV rights deal falling dramatically since the last quarter.

Writing up the recap, I thought I should mention that Edge/Orton happened, that Edge was advertised to be on Raw the next night to discuss what was next for him and then just didn't show up and hasn't been mentioned since... and then I realized that it was kind of pointless to even write about. Kind of like Edge's entire return :sigh:

No one reported on it so, no. The victim supposedly went to the police with it so it's possible it'll pop up again sometime down the line.

In Vincelworld, because Dream is getting a title shot next week and WWE would NEVER keep putting a pedophile or someone guilty of crimes on TV, he must have already been cleared by an internal investigation

When I was 17, my father was so stupid, I didn't want to be seen with him in public. When I was 24, I was amazed at how much the old man had learned in just 7 years.

If people visit Florida they should have to be quarantined for 14 days before going to other states.

What doese 25% capacity mean exactly for WWE? I'd say the arenas are already pretty close to 25% capacity, but does this mean they'll force everyone to sit 3 seats away from each other, or will they still be allowed to cram everyone in on the hard cam side?

And if you show up with a custom AEW face mask, will they take it away?

They should get Florida Man Vanilla Ice to perform on their first show when the audience returns.

Well the state orders are typically 25% of your fire code capacity and the PC is a huge facility used for more than just the makeshift arena part so there’s a chance they could pack that seating area while still obeying the 25% capacity rule.
