Apparently we haven't had the #1 pick since 1970, goddamn

Cunningham/Hayes/Bey is a really promising young trio, Stewart can play, Grant can play... I think we've got something here.

We're ground floor for an interesting season buddy. I'm stoked. At the very least it's the most exciting thing to happen to the team in a long time

4th is a very good pick to have, yeah. Ultimately I think it's a four player draft and you're gonna get one of Suggs or Green. Either one is an excellent player who can contribute day one with all star potential.

It seems pretty set through 4 at least and probably 5 as much as I personally think Kuminga is overrated. Though Scottie Barnes is extremely John Hammond's poo poo.

Uh.... we don't talk about it. Saddiq Bey (eventually) had a pretty good year.

Hopefully Hamidou Diallo again? He should be an RFA now. I'm still somewhat miffed he didn't get a single MIP vote. OKC traded him away for more draft picks that will not be as good as Hamidou Diallo, which was nice of them.

Yeah, the pick falling to 7 and getting conveyed to GS sucks this year but it simultaneously means that the Wolves now own their pick for next year.

This is a good draft class but the pick dropping to 7 means that it's not likely to be significantly worse next year, and there's a chance it is much better. The Wolves are going to improve but they're still going to be a lottery team and the last thing they need right now is another young guy who might be good in 2-3 years, which is what you're getting at 7.

I'd call it a push.

The NBA should just lock the Pacers in to the 13th pick every year regardless of record. They're gonna win 34-40 games, just ditch the formalities.

Anyway, I didn't pay any attention to college ball this year, any chance of a breakout talent left at 13?

The Thunder could stand to add some beef to their frontcourt, as they are a little wing heavy at the moment. Sengun is one of the most productive players in the draft, and his old-school style of play could be a strong fit alongside their existing core.

Isaiah Jackson apparently withdrew from the combine so he might have a promise from somebody. Given the Hornets' huge need at center and the Kentucky > Charlotte pipeline, definitely wouldn't be surprised if it was them
