Rian Johnson D&D got exposed the grifting hack frauds that they are. They rushed S8 to bail for Star Wars (  ) where they got fired before making anything partly due to GoT while getting a Netflix deal as that happened. They absolutely did not need to make S8 if they wanted out, they could have simply handed it off to another team. HBO was willing to give nigh unlimited resources for GoT to continue. While I never watched GoT just about everyone said there was a noticeable slip in quality before 8 as they had outrun the books. Additional laughs with their after action reports "I forgot" massive key characters and plot points. It also turned out they got the job because they knew someone as they had absolutely no qualifications. It's an omni shambles, even the spin-offs got killed.(USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)

Last Jedi is polarizing as gently caress IMO. The Rey/Kylo Ren/Luke stuff was IMO some of the best star wars we got in a long time, but everything else was just noise at best.

Hell even in the mainland, to fly to Taiwan you go to the international part of the airport, and all signs say "International flights, (including HK, Macau and Taiwan.) So it's not that the world knows Taiwan is independent that bothers the CCP, nor that the world treats Taiwan as independent that bothers the CCP, its that ... internet video gamers don't mention Taiwanese fans?

It's sad and scary how often that even the threat of a CCP tantrum has companies/governments self-censoring, without the pissbaby CCP even having to do anything. All it will take is one company/government standing up to, or better yet ignoring the tantrum, and seeing that the CCP can't practically do much to hurt them, and other companies/governments will follow suit. Thus robbing the CCP of it's only diplomatic tool, the threat of whiny pissbaby tantrums.

China is petty enough to threaten trade sanctions over "This is killing". Cancelling people/companies/countries for hurt Chinese feelings is their one of the few tool they know. Every time it "Works" it gets worse. It's the modern Kowtow. The sanctioned Australia over "Hey can we send an international team to look at the virus". Another thing is they never back down, always double down. Never "My bad". They will commit the most heinous of crimes then not only blame the victim but claim victimhood and innocence while gaslighting and accusing everyone of some other thing like racism. The best they will do is shut up and pretend it didn't happen until bringing it up again serves some perceived usefulness. They still bitch about the opium wars, like loving get over it, they won't as they think it somehow gives them the moral high ground. Imagine Americans still getting steam out of the ears angry over Canada burning down the White House that one time instead of having a laugh today or France still pissed at Germany over both World Wars.
