Because that is 1000000% true.

Speaking of, this thread reminded me that Rosario Dawson was in the film version of Rent. I always disassociate her from that in my mind because I just assume everything is exactly like the broadway version (which is probably good because the film is not that good)

Spidey thought

Hey Amy - just a couple of rando thoughts from 35,000 LAX-JFK:

- A rising trend we see with Millennials are the really extreme forms of experiential exercise like Tough Mudder (a sort of filthy triathalon), the Color Run and even things like Hot Power Yoga, veganism etc. Millennials will often post “N.B.D.” on their social media after doing it , as in No Big Deal, also known as the “humble brag”.....wondering if Spidey could get into that in some way....he’s super athletic, bendy, strong, intense....and it’s all NBD to him, of course.

- EDM (electronic dance music) is the defining music for Millennials. Wondering if there’s an EDM angle somewhere with Spidey? His movements are beautiful, would be awesome with a killer DJ behind it

- Snapchat just launched a “story” functionality, which is sort of “day in the life of me” told in a series of snapchats that expire after 24 hours. It has a very VIP quality about it, since invitation only. Getting invited into Spidey’s Snapchat circle would be huge, and very buzzworthy and cool.

I know everyone already forgot about Amazing Spider-Man 2, but the thing I bolded is literally in that movie, and it's one of the few things that most people liked about it.

Also, Spider-Man on Snapchat is a great idea. :colbert: He's a 16 year old, he's gonna be on Snapchat.

Like you'd think they'd manage to make something interesting just by accident, due to sheer volume. But each lanky white dude and pleasant brunette lady is hand-crafted to be as inoffensively dull as possible. I had to start clicking on some of these just to be sure they weren't actually the same actors over and over.

Lori Laughlin has starred in 17 movies on one of the Hallmark channels since 2013. Candice Cameron Bure has been in 11. Danica McKeller has been in 6.

Hilariously, I feel like 90% of the movies have men who I've never heard of before in my entire life. There are occasionally movies with a Dean Cain or a lesser Baldwin, but most of them are men who have Wikipedia pages that have been in things I've seen but made no mark on my brain in any conceivable way.

Nah, I think it was a matter of Alexa PenaVega putting in enough work that when she said "I want to make one of these with my husband," Hallmark acquiesced. Diversity by way of nepotism is still diversity.

Also, yes, Alexa PenaVega is the girl from Spy Kids. She is also the woman from Machete and Repo! The Genetic Opera. Apparently she's very Christian, I'm not sure if that happened before or after she did Machete Kills (look up her costume from Machete Kills to know why that's funny).
