Johnny's pals also have smartphones. Guess it makes sense those 3 would be behind the times, feel like isabel's grandpa and max's dad would be very "your phone's good enough"

Not too much to dissect in this page at first glance. It looks like Gwen (and her husband? But I get the sense that Ed's father's doing something/is someplace different) willingly went into the grudge's dream/prison to try to figure it out. "With your mind, we could solve this from within --" Agent Walker's comment about "C'mon. Given they're talking about a grudge, I get the feeling that it's either going to end up being Spender's freaky shadow spirit or possibly (but far less likely) Scrapdragon. Boss Leader called it a grudge while she was talking with Max, if I'm remembering right.

I forget all the information we have but wasn't the implication (or at least one of the running theories) being that the scrap dragon is a chunk of the shadow spirit to begin with could all be parts of the same thing

Boss Leader herself doesn't seem to know what Spender is hiding in town if we assume the kids in this arc are going to wind up sealing away the "shadow" within Spender by the end of things.

But as it been established how much time passed between the last meeting between these two and the Burgers' disappearance? If it's at least one year, plot hole averted.

No but really it's possible he's 12-going-on-13 at this point, wouldn't it? Like Ed is born i dunno June 1990 (I'm pulling the dates out of nothing, fyi), Burgers disappear August 1990. If it's May 2003 you'd probably still say they've been missing for 13 years even though Ed's still 12 for another month & it's not been the proper 13th anniversary of their disappearance

Update time. Interesting combo of "distorted by my dream's distance" and "you can blink and miss what sleep I'm able to get here." So this implies that the Burgers aren't actually comatose/asleep like we've been assuming but are instead...trapped somewhere where they can barely rest?
