Appanretly Kreuziger was contacted by UCI about this, then he had two of his own experts explain the abnormalities and then the UCI came back and said, "not good enough"; so that is why this is all taking so long. Timing is a bit ominous. Superb OP Mr Nice.

I'd rather have Majka than Kreuziger in the TS train anyway. He had a bit of a spat on social media about how tired he is from the Giro and that at his age he shouldn't be doing two tours in a row (especially coming in 6th in Giro).

GC teams will leave it to the sprint teams to do the catching of the break as usual. The first week is lumpy, but some of the sprinters can get over that stuff.

Froome just has to ride Bertie's wheel around for 3 weeks, as much as it pains me to say. Ol' Pistolero is going to have to be sneaky again.

serious gaylord posted:And it was Westra that did the damage to Contador and Talansky, combined with them being fannys and not riding hard in the cobbles. Nibali just sucked Westras wheel for 20 minutes and then had a 2 minute lead. Exactly, Contador said after the stage that he slowed down as not to fall and crash out of the race. Also I want to point out: quote:"Because of the mud I didn’t drop into the small sprockets What he meant to say was SRAM is poo poo and where is my electronic shifting. Coupled with his previous comments that he prefers to stay in the big ring with a big cassette (usually a 32), maybe TS will be on shimano/campy next year.

I'm still in the gently caress specialized camp, they are an rear end in a top hat of a company and can die in a fire. Tinkoff to pinarello/campy next year please. Sram is gone for sure. I'm really crushed for Bertie, this loving sucks. Vuelta is going to be nuts, Froome, Contador, Quintana.

Like everyone said, if it's hot they wave the rule. On this stage riders were allowed to take on water but only from the side of the road and not from team cars (so there are no sticky bottles on the last climb).

Another thing to consider is that this stage was super short and the climb up Hautacam came after a long descent. 90s mountain stages were longer. Is he doping during the race? I doubt it. In training however..

I love Martin's WC stripe disk. Peraud's dream was to stand on the podium in paris all his life, so that's pretty meaningful for him I imagine. Quintana will poo poo in Froome's mouth in the Vuelta, looking forward.
