Some more actual content in a rap thread on SA forums.. here is a Jeezy joint that I think is cool. Kendrick Lamar for whatever reason I have just not been impressed with in the past but this is actually a good feature from the kid here. He has reminded me of 2pac in the past but not in a good way. Like 2pac is brilliant lyrically but is just a psycho sometimes, sort of like a kid in prison or something.. Well Kendrick is lyrically great but it doesn't seem like there's real depth there. Good kid M.A.A.D. city was ok but didn't really stick in my head, you know what I mean? He actually spits some hot fire here on this one. I'm impressed. I think Jeezy sort of 'grounded' him in reality here, if that makes any sense.

temple may be grounded in reality, but it's not a reality anyone else shares. And I really don't care if you or a bunch of other corny rear end white kids think it's pathetic I don't like garbage rap or listen to "internet rappers". Maybe one day when you get past listening to rap to shock your parents you'll be able to listen to people they haven't heard of and you to can like someone who has music on the internet! Until then you and temple can proudly carry the banner of the oppressed, downtrodden, disrespected platinum-selling artists.

Also I'm actually MORE clever than I think I am, but it has nothing to do with how many times I may or may not write donglover in a post. donglover donglover donglover. But it's my personal rule to only refer to rappers by names that weren't generated from "Wu-Tang Name Generator" websites.

She and Ninja are in said AAA movie because they are/were bros with the director, and it made back like a quarter of its budget and may have sent said director to movie jail, so I don't think that's a terribly big indication of their popularity.

And reread what I originally said. It's not like they're not well-known, it just seems like nobody actually pays attention to their music, which is what I thought slept-on meant (i.e. someone who is peripherally aware of Jay-Z and knows 99 Problems etc. would still be sleeping on him if they'd never heard Reasonable Doubt or the Black Album). They seem to be pretty much known as "those South African people who do the crazy-rear end videos" more than anything else, at least in my anecdotal experience.
