I've got former co-workers that work IT for natural gas/oil as well right now...at least I think they still do. I doubt the petero engineer friend I know however is ever going to get let go except for complete company collapse.

They ended up having to pull the steam because someone created a massive enough series of Twitch accounts to bot them with the feed to attempt malicious commands. The bots ended up getting a majority and it's way. Fortunately it didn't get too far.
