It just misses the cutoff for the 90s, but at one point Pepsi had the sixth largest Navy in the world. Guess they should've held on to some of them to trade for a fighter jet.

I don't know who's writing this but the idea that the Infinity Gauntlet was cooler than the Ninja Turtles in 1991 is just a little bit suspect.

I always wondered if game developers intentionally made some objectives so obscure that you'd need to buy a strategy guide to get them.
Cases in point, that fuckin' tornado from Castlevania II, or, similarly, the waterfall door from Earthbound.

I know I never would have 100%'d Ocarina of Time without this ancient tome:

I don't think they were doing that for the NES/SNES, but there's no way they weren't for some later systems.

It really is impressive to go back and listen to what RATM were saying in 92. It was all radical leftism then but now a lot of it's pushing the mainstream.

For me, I think Evil Empire was the better album at the time, but the self-titled has aged a lot better. For whatever reason I never got into Battle of LA--I should probably give it another spin one of these days.

Pretty sure that FF or one of the prior FF games had a porno magazine you could find, if you were playing the Japanese version

Final Fantasy IV had one, but it didn't make it into the original US release.

(Also don't type "Final Fantasy porn" into Google unless that's what you really want.)

The biggest problem with the prequels was that George Lucas directed them. He tried to get other people to do it, but no one wanted to take on the risk of screwing up the new Star Wars movies.

The Force Awakens, on its own, is an okay safe film. The Last Jedi is anything but generic. It misses as much as it hits, but when its hits it lands solid and has some fantastic ideas to build upon.

The Rise of Skywalker is an unsalvageable two-and-a-half hour soul-draining trainwreck that is one of the few movies I don't think I could bring myself to sit through a second time.
