the great deceiver posted:was it explained and i missed it or am i overthinking but why are the power-players from some small, corrupt LA county town majorly involved in building the high-speed rail? this is a huge project that people in california have been fighting about for like the past decade. I don't think they are supposed to be involved in the actual planning or construction of the HSR project, they are just speculating on nearby land in hopes that the land becomes a lot more valuable after the project opens.

That is actually a little bit of a stretch. The train is going to mostly be moving people, with maybe a little light freight. It isn't going to be designed to allow you to open an industrial center in the middle of nowhere and use it to ship raw materials in and finished products out. The most likely thing may be for office parks to be able to spring up in the middle of nowhere for cheap and rely on the train to bring commuters in from far away. The transcontinental railroad isn't a good comparison because it was intended to move a shitload of freight.

Seems like if you were going to shoot a dude in the belly with a shotgun then you would probably notice if the belly-shot didn't leave him bleeding out. I've never actually had to shoot a dude in the belly though so maybe I am missing something here.

Having someone's Very Important Internet Research get sidetracked by the lure of porn is the most realistic thing that's been on the show so far.

Someone please post a picture of Stan from before he got dumped in the oil sump. This is important. At first I thought he was the guy with the gold grill (based on the Previously On), but it turns out that he wasn't.
