Don Tacorleone posted:What is this American fear of "I love you" ? Is it like saying you're getting married "I love you" is a statement whose meaning is actually quite contextual. Here is a handy translation guide based on the speaker. Nice Guy: "As the first girl to kiss me you are now bonded to me for life. If you show another man affection I will attempt to kill you, myself, or both of us." Nice Girl: "You are the only guy who ever let me finish reading one of my fan fictions. If I find a female name on your phone's contact list I will undergo a shrieking breakdown and cause at least $1,000 in property damage at your (parent's) place. Regular Guy: I like you. Regular Girl: I am either nearing 40 years old or a teenager.

Red Suit posted:I arrived at the house one day, my mother being at work, and heard the sounds of Samuel plunging his penis into my sister’s vagina through her closed room door, along with my sister’s moans. I stood there and listened to it all. So my sister, who was four years younger than me, managed to lose her virginity before I did. It reminded me of how pathetic I was, that at the age of twenty-two, I was still a virgin. I hated her boyfriend as well. My sister said that he’s been with other girls before her, and I’m sure he lost his virginity at a much younger age. It is such an injustice. The slob doesn’t even have a car, and he is able to get girlfriends, while I drive a BMW and get no attention from any girls whatsoever. Should I be ashamed for immediately recognizing exactly what this is?

Pick posted:Ha ha it's awesome to bring up violence against women and then have the "what about men!!!" crowd jump out, and then I can remember why I normally don't feel that bad for men in the first place. The "what about men" argument is bad when it's used to counter a statement like "violence against women is too common". But that wasn't what you said. You were comparing worst case scenarios, not general trends. For both genders "my partner will kill me if I leave" is a valid worst case scenario, although it is exceedingly rare for either of them. This is separate from acknowledging that men hold the balance of power when it comes to violence and that women are generally more vulnerable/abused from a statistical standpoint. So basically you are comparing apples to oranges and being a fucko about it.

The Nice Guy is coming from inside the thread. Some women might like the imagery of a bad boy but I feel very few actually like what they perceive to be dangerous men unless they themselves are a broke brain or a teenager still living in fairy princess land. I'm practically a pacifist and don't look like I would ever hurt anyone and I really don't feel that's ever held me back with women.

No I mean why are they the villains of Nice Guys? Your penultimate Nice Guy is usually a retard who actually could have a girlfriend if he set reasonable standards but instead refuses to date anything below an 8/10 despite probably being a 5/10 at best. They tend to ignore fat chicks.
