It looks like xrxs.net doesn't do junior games anymore — anyone got the latest on how to stream AHL/CHL games?

Yeah, I don't expect to be able to watch more than a handful of games, so the full plans are beyond my means. I mostly just want to be able to watch the Fronts on a Sunday afternoon.

I suspect there's room for more announcements in the AHL, since in the NHL the in-arena experience is already risking sensory overload.

fits posted:i assume you mean isn't stepping in? probably because if they did the cwhl would get mad as hell considering their players don't get paid at all Yeah, I missed a negative in there. Compare to how the NBA has supported the WNBA, the NHL is just listless.

March's consolidated draft drankings are out. Random thoughts: Nolan Patrick and Gabe Vilardi are nearly a year apart in age. Cale Makar is a tremendous name, and he probably needs to end up on a team with Kale Clague. Klim Kostin is the most stand-up comedian name in hockey history. Rob Thomas! After losing the first two games in completely different humiliating fashions, the Fronts have won three straight and lead Hamilton 3-2. Now that I've posted this, of course, they will surely lose the next two. Inevitable bust Jason Robertson has 8 points in 5 games. e: I just saw that London is down 3-2 to the Spits (and were down 3-1). That would be a big upset. inferis posted:Best part about that game is that it started at 2 in the afternoon and got over at 8. Last ferry off the island is 9 pm so Everett almost got stuck there. That would've been fantastic. In Fronts news, they're one game away from being swept in the 2nd round again.

ThinkTank posted:I would like to reiterate my point that Jason Robertson should be a top 5 pick. He's been in on 16 of the 26 goals they've scored so far in the playoffs. He was leading the O in playoff scoring before the last set of games. I found a new place to watch junior hockey so I've gotten a chance to watch a few games and he doesn't seem to skate so good. I dunno if any Serious People have written about him. Also he's a Front so no matter how good he is something horrible will befall him and he will bust.

ThinkTank posted:I have no idea why he's being overlooked this year. Because people were paying attention during Bennett's draft year when I razzed Pronman over every Fronts prospect being an inevitable bust no matter how improbable or act-of-god-demanding such an outcome is.

http://ottershockey.com/video/apr-1817-gm7-ldn-4-er-5-ot Otters beat the Knights in game 7 OT. Also I think the Otters TV guy is trying to do the thing that the Panthers radio guy used to do, where he'd insert a random movie quote after a goal.

T-Bone posted:Do we want to do a World Championship thread? Anyway for some reason good players went for the US this year, despite the Olympics not being a thing. Eichel and Gaudreau are there and a bunch of other guys like Hellebuyck, Trouba, McAvoy, Larkin, Keller, Lee, Nelson etc. It looks like the best US WC team in years. More threads are always good.
