And it's not like Purgatory rules haven't caused an upset already, it's not like someone who got completely dominated by his opponent still won in the end. I think the idea is that since Yumigawa is incapacitated Misasa can just wait for a part of his body to be out of the light, or even push him out himself. No one wants to see that so the ref just ended the match.

Even if Ryuki kills here, it wasn't really his fault. Naiden forced him into a deathmatch and it was kill or be killed. I hope the manga doesn't try to portray him as a monster now that he killed in self defense, that'd be really dumb.

His weird eye being the same one Muteba gouged out definitely seems to hint this is actually Masaki but maybe it’s a red herring. Why change his name and hide his identity? Is he even aware that he’s Masaki? EDIT: The child Masaki acts a heck of a lot more like Hayami than Masaki. I’m guessing the eye is a red herring and Masaki was actually the fake one and Hayami just went underground, changed his name, and learned to blend in with society.
