Super Eyepatch Wolf is a great anime Youtube reviewer/analyst. I can't recommend him enough. Regarding Made in Abyss... yeah I read the manga after finishing the anime, and loving YIKES. The anime staff really did their damnedest downplaying the creepy poo poo from the source material. They didn't scrub everything, but they were at least smart enough to put a greater emphasize on the actually interesting elements of the story.
