Yeah. The outrage about game reviewers not being able to play hard video games and giving them a low score is entirely fabricated. There's problems with the industry, but those run more around the lines of game reviewers being too nice about their criticism.

I don't see how sekiro is going to get bad reviews though. Yeah it's going to get compared to dark souls but mostly probably just to tell people that "this isn't like dark souls".

I can only remember in DS3 i cheesed very early duels before the meta settled and people knew what was good or not by using the painted guardian curved sword. It had the lowest range but had ridiculously fast strikes therefore no stamina cost and inflicted bleed so fast people died before they realised what was happening.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. You can beat her with just two, i did, but ypu need to make it through phase one without taking a hit. Which is extrordinarily hard but unlike in phaas 2 she has no unblockable homing damage.

The moment I stop confusing jump and dodge buttons I will own this game.

My biggest gently caress ups have been from being unable to differentiate the red symbol jab vs the red symbol sweep. One counters with o, one with x. And pressing the wrong one fucks you. This is the biggest issue I've had with this control scheme, its the artificial difficulty caused by the character covering up the enemies hands sometimes and you cant see what its doing.

Oh and sometimes a grab looks like a sweep.

Notes on the purple ninja:

he respawns if you go back to the area

he can be easily cheesed by aggroing him off the roof tgen jumping back down the hoke you jumped up from, he will deaggro and walk back towards tge temple giving you ample time to crawl up and backstab him before he turns around

you dont get anything really for farming him

I literally just found a secret room in hikari estate

just before the last bon fire or whatever before lady butterfly turn around and go the corridor with the two enemies like twenty feet back, at the end of that corridor on your right ia a wall scroll

if you hug the wall scroll it ROTATES into a secret room with a balloon a purse 2 confetti AND A CHEST WITH A PRAYER BEAD IN IT

Blazing Bull is a poor poor boss fight.

Its not fun to fight nor feel like youre learning as you go. Its hitboxes are wonky and it matvhes nithing before in the worst way. I dont know why they left it in.

Yeah that isnt apparent at all and with no such information its just a wonky mess and the only point in tge game where you do not feel like a shinobi but a cherry tapper.

A wish i have is the parry death attack heal bonus was in the game from the start like Bloodborne rather than locked behind a third tier abiliry. It would reward aggressive exchanges where you parry attack counter attack rather than be nooooo i got hit.

Also a lot of this games issues could be essolved via orange soapstone hints. The problem is people are missing stuff and the game is seen as frystrati g as there arent hints. Before horse guy if there was markers for "try blocking" and "fireworks" wouldve aided so many people. For lady butterfly "remember shurikens".

The game screams at you that fireworks scare animals over and over. It is really explicit about everything except for a few of the more ephemeral consumables.

It doesnt scream where those fireworks are, and doing it without them cam be done - i did - but that was after hours of parry training on lady butterfly first making it a first attempt easy win.

Im just reminding myself on release Bloodborne was a mess too and from what i heard Witcher 3 was too until it was patched to both games which were GOTY against each othwr. I like Sekiro but it will be improved and needs to be - not all issues are due to needing to git gud.

Actually if you bother to Eavesdrop a lot of conversations that mobs have are in regards to upcoming bosses. Right before the horse boss you'll find a soldier morning the death of his fallen stead and he says something about "The explosions did her in."

Come in from the ceiling and jump attack, he takes Posture damage like crazy so bash his head in with an axe.

Yeah but again i didnt find the firecracker thing until i found the mob after tge fight, the one on the hilltop i found through this thread later. I thought they were referring to the flame cannon so early on i kept trying to burn the horse until i realised gently caress it and parried him to death and ran arouns the huge battlefield for grapple attacks

I beat the purple guy in the well and spears but this seems a huge block for the entire area and i should instead go back and start the castle beyond the praying woman

Found another secret room this time in the castle

on the upper antechamber area in the room with the patrolling samurai and the old lady in the room on the far right that is on the balcony there are two samurai statues with a wall scroll between them

hug the wall scroll and walk to rotate the hidden door

Inside is a purse and a prayer bead

Edit: two purses one is behind a breakable thing
