---FAGNER---
TEAM-MATE
Hello, fellow goons. Welcome back in our Hublot Forum of Friendship match day thread. Three matches as usual, with the final game determining whether the cool and good German lads get sent home or not :ohdear:

Here they are:

Belgium vs Tunisia, 14:00 CET, 1 p.m. BST, 8 a.m. EST, Moscow
South Korea vs Mexico, 17:00 CET, 4 p.m. BST, 11 a.m. EST, Rostov-on-Don
Germany vs Sweden, 20:00 CET, 7 p.m. BST, 2 p.m. EST, Sochi

We start the day with Belgium vs Tunisia. Belgium had a good game against Panama, while Tunisia couldn't really shine against England. I don't expect any surprises here, the only question imho is how high Belgium will win.

One goal was enough for Mexico to secure victory over a pretty toothless Germany, while South Korea didn't leave a good impression against Sweden. The Mexicans are surely the favorites here, with a victory all but guaranteeing advancement to the knockout stages.

This is it. Will the reigning world champion fail to advance out of the group stages for the fourth time in five tournaments? Germany very much want to avoid the fate of France, Italy and Spain in 2002, 2010 and 2014, respectively. A Swedish win would eliminate Germany, they need at least one point. Sweden didn't really shine in their game against South Korea, but they had a pretty impressive run in qualifying, eliminating Italy for example. This will be a tough game for Germany, but I still believe. Germany will win this!

Mexican Team Thread
South Korean Thread
German Team Thread
Swedish Team Thread

Cool and good Nigeria won against equally cool and good Iceland, making it that much more likely that Argentina will actually get to the knockout stages. Brazil also avoided embarrassing themselves too much against Costa Rica, so it's only logical that there won't be any early elimination of favorites this World Cup. Meaning Germany will win! So join in this pivotal day of World Cup Football here in out Hublot Forum of Friendship!

This helps put things into perspective OP. We wouldn't be historically bad, only as bad as these other wastemen.

IMO we'll eke out a win against Sweden and then draw 0-0 against South Korea

Klopp's 13pts clear thanks to video ref

Interested to see how Belgium fare against Tunisia, they really caused us difficulty whilst Panama didn't seem to put up much of a fight so it will be a good test of how good Belgium are.

Sweden/Mexico wins today please

With the way the first round of pool games went, yesterday and today have turned some normally fairly uneven contests into really high stakes. I love it.

Fingers crossed for Mexico and Sweden wins~
