... Not a lot to read there. In hindsight, I can believe that his vote was a joke; I can assume good faith there. Where it becomes harder to assume good faith is his absence. If you asked me to name one player who lurks a lot more when they're scum than town, Bee would be that player. He also claimed VT, entirely unprompted, unless I'm missing something.

So, first things first, I've given this a lot of pondering and decided I should claim this, on the assumption that there are more town powers/cards in the game than scum ones: you shouldn't target me with an action if you don't want it wasted. This obviously may sound scummy, like I'm trying to doge being copped, but I reckon if I were scummy there's only about 5% chance a cop randomly picks me anyway (yes I know a cop wouldn't be doing it "randomly", but this is an approximation), so I don't have a lot to gain by doing this. On the flipside, wasting a genuine town action by accident would be a big drawback. The situation might change in the future, but this is how it is now.

hmm. this actually seems sincere and something a town player would say.

Maybe, but to bring it up this early in the game unprovoked seems like something a town player would die. Interestingly, it is the complete opposite of what Anidav said earlier. Dancer doesn't want to be investigated because he claims it will be wasted, Anidav wants to be investigated to clear himself.

Just read the thread from the very beginning, and now I am convinced that Anidav is vanilla town. Here are a few early anidav posts that convinced me:

I'm not entirely sold on the idea that there are straight up insta-win cards (or even a set of cards that result in an insta-win), and for the record I have no loving idea what exodia is, but I can get behind the idea that successfully obtaining certain cards can be very beneficial. In fact, this seems like the sort of concept that would be found in a nat20 mafia game. sort of reminds me of birdstrike's role in the last dbz game.

Asking to be copped was strange and gave me flashbacks to a game where Flying Leatherman straight up asked to be cop at the start of d2, I was sus but never called him out. Scum won and he flipped godfather lol.

This is a little different. Anidav seemed legitimately annoyed when he made that post. But the way he described his role makes me think he actually is vanilla town.
