I'm just glad it's not Sora, Riku, and Kairi. I don't want to be then next person to be $1,500 in debt to this game chasing them... Also, they better make Lea/Axel a Global Exclusive. The whales will chase the gently caress out of that. Probably a GL Exclusive Kairi, too

From what I'm seeing on reddit it's being suggested that there's going to be a 2nd part later down the line so you'll probably get some sort of Riku/Kairi/KH3 Sora Pt. 2 banner.

In part for the nostalgia, in part because of satisfying mashy-smashy gameplay, and a ridiculous story that they literally are making up as they go. The music is absolutely fantastic, and they manage to create a pretty epic feeling for a silly Good vs EEEEVIL story where Donald and Goofy are your main sidekicks.

The Steel Castle decided to quit being stingy. Got +22% MAG/+10% ATK on my Death Trap and +27% MAG on my Sybil Crescent. Now my Trance Terra is at 1901 MAG, which is pretty silly. Also have a Sakura's Robe and a Ravenheart. Guess I could take a shot at the Royal Crown at some point to get a slightly better magic hat... You might be able to outright kill it from 50% hp with TTerra quadcasting chaos flare since it's vulnerable to SPR breaks and gets a -100% fire res debuff.

The easy way is now bringing a 7* breaker. Then all you'll probably need to worry about is the unresistable Death, the ST charm, and the fixed damage attack.

it is very likely that m ramza is just going to be a better magic tank than wk noel pretty much all of the time, but wk noel has a cool sprite and he's great fun to hide units behind in arena. him being able to chain could potentially be useful in stuff depending on the duration of his magic provoke or cover duration. unless his old enhanced provoke is improved i dont think he'll be able to physical/magical tank both together, because he can't use daggers he's actually one of the harder tanks to get full evade on. even if you're whaled out i don't know that you'll be able to make him an evade/magic tank at all. i am guessing hes gonna be the tornado equivalent of a pod chainer but maybe he'll be pretty good, here's to hoping

The news says the banner and step-up for the old X-mas units have a 5* pool that is only Kryla, Christine, and WKN. If I understand right, that's the sort of thing that JP got for limited banners like the VP collab, and what made it possible for non-mega-whales to chase 4 Angrims for the STMR.

Awakening details for the three older 5★ Christmas units are out. Kryla's single target breaks can go up to 65%, build 1-2 LB per each use, and last for 5 turns. Man. I've got one Kryla already, If I had just waited for this instead of getting Loren... that's gacha!

Sure, but it's not really like Black Cat Lid's Hat is setting the world on fire and at least Cerius still has some use as a Green Mage even in the current meta. The last 2 times he has been on banners, he diluted the pool so much that you pulled him every other pull. Granted one of those times he was on 2 banners at the same time. He isn’t the traditional 5* trap, he is more of an Eve. But 3*. So you are probably going to see a ton of him. Why they have such a hard-on for Gilbert I don’t know. They could have chosen, literally, any other unit. No that's not how it works, the game throws up a dice and if it determines you are going to pull a 3* then it throws another to see if you pull the banner one or not. He's not a trap unless there is another 3* on the banner that's better than him

Utterly torn on the Fan Festa UoC. Do I go with Noel or GL Sakura? I don’t know how much I’m in need of a magic tank ... 6* Basch has gotten me through every trial so far ... And Sakura brings way more utility plus my magic offense is nowhere near as robust as my physical offense. Could also always say gently caress it and just grab a Beryl dupe. Guess I wait for the update and numbers on Noel to drop.

Lapis spending question. I have about 22k lapis currently. I've been saving this for the XG banner because by all accounts the 7*'s there are mega powerful, but I don't have any 7*'s besides Katy Perry. I'm either not really in need of any particular role right now or in need of all the roles, given 6* unit abilities (although for reference, I use Elfreeda, 2B, Orlandeau, Eiko and Ashe mostly). I've noticed I can't do a lot of content without a friend carry, all of whom I'm super grateful for. Would it be worthwhile to spend lapis on the Christmas banner to (hopefully) get one of the units I can spend my festa select on or will it not even make that much of a difference in the long run and I should just save for the XG banner like my original plan? Edit: Also while I'm at it, any suggestions for who to get even as a 6*? I guess I can use a better tank than Elfreeda, especially since I more or less neglect her counterattack capabilities. Yeah, the christmas banner is looking like a solid all around banner. I'm dissapointed that they dropped the enhancement for the previous units since it cuts on their shelf life, but because of it Kryla gets to be a really good breaker. She looks to be on par with the top tier breakers with the exception of her chaining, we dont know if she gets something there too. Noel seems to be a strong all around omni tank capable of tackling all sorts of damage and situations, Christine seems like she's going to be a great mDPS and the new TDH unit is probably going to be good hybrid damage. And you can only pull from the banner so its like the xenogears one.

Actually seeing the 7* units I dont know how I feel about the banner. Christine can pull out a lot of damage with her quadra cast but she's stuck to awakened chaos wave which is just not common and is very sub-optimal. Shes gonna have to chain with a copy to maximize damage using her enhanced burial followed by repeated absolute zeroes. Kryla gets good turn one breaks and if she has enough limit crystals she can provide consistent breaks through her dualcasted 74% breaks. She cant chain though so cant really say she's better than loren but still a very a good breaker. Noel is the big winner, getting magic cover and triple casting, he's a good magic tank, provoke tank and an absolute monster in the arena The new hybrid damage unit has a lot of damage but is hindered by his strongest ability being odd frames and a weird unlock ability mechanism. Again, needs a copy to maximize damage. Tiana doesn't seem that bad, but again her strongest ability by far has quake frames, which aren't really common. Her fire chaos wave ability has low modifiers and doesn't scale. It seems Gumi is giving units rarer frame abilities in an odd fashion, like tornado isn't particularly common cause its a low damage ability but they made it Malphs strongest ability. Then they sort of not give another damage dealer that sort of boosted tornado, instead giving it to support or tank units. Circe and Tiana both get screwed by getting quadra cast with chain patterns that most units can only double cast, so you HAVE to run a copy to maximize damage. Tornado may have a low base modifier, but most units who have it get significant increases to it's modifier, and it's high hit count, particularly when dual cast, also helps offset it with the higher chain modifier

I didn't realize EX and 10+1 tickets were getting 1-week access to the Christmas unit banner. Does this mean that the units are getting thrown in the EX/10+1 pool, or will the tickets draw from the banner itself?

The former. There won't be a rate up for the Christmas units but there's a chance that tomorrow's 10+1 adn 5* EX tickets will pull a Christmas unit. It'll just be the same chance as any other 5*.

Hey everyone, First of all been lurking here for a few months and decided to bite the bullet and dive into this crazy phone game. Of all the FF mobile games, this one seems to most interesting to me so I rerolled myself up an account, did a little Dolphin and I am ready to go. My player ID is: 742.646.842 and I'm currently sporting a Hyoh there with not so great gear but only rank 22 so hopefully by the time a month or two rolls around I'll have a more stacked version of him up.
