does Strategic Command World at War have smaller scenarios, or would I have to get Strategic Command War in Europe

These are the scenarios for SC:WaW - basically all World War scenarios with different start dates.

or the few Matrix games I've bought from their store, you just enter the serial one time at install to unlock the game and that's it. I think it might do a one-time phone home to validate but yeah, I don't think there's any install limit. They're surprisingly sensible.

This seems to be an obvious and simply DRM to implement that doesn't require you emailing someone - have they said why they can't do this?

Can you edit in one off scenarios in RTW2? A Midway or Coral Sea scenario would be great.

So this was... pretty boring actually. Fredrik seemed not to know his own games very well? He forgot he made Steam and Iron? Then he said putting missiles in RTW2 would be too difficult but they're already planned to go in? The only decent tidbit was Fredrik saying the AI doesn't see torpedoes, it just starts ships on evasive manoeuvres once DDs are in range.

Mr Luxury Yacht posted:

So, uh, I was poking around the database in Armored Brigade the other day. I'm still convinced it might be possible to construct some sort of tool that takes Steel Panther MBT data files dumped from Mobhack into .CSV and mostly create XML entries for units and formations and whatnot since most of what AB needs seems to be in SPMBT. It'd at the very least massively speed up the process (minus the sprite part). I ain't letting my dream of a real time SPMBT without the ricochet sound die. So I was experimenting with different fields directly in the XML files to see how it all mapped in the editor/in game.

Long story short I was playing around with some XML flags and managed to accidentally unlock all the DLC :stare:

Just the Yugoslavia one or are there others in there?

It's fairly smooth. When you're in Empires and a battle comes up, you press a 'Play in FOG2' button. FOG2 starts automatically and you press a "fight battle" button. Fight the battle and the result is automatically sent to Empires. You switch back to Empires and press 'import results' and you're done.

It's best when settings and mechanics work together. I've preferred games that have unique mechanics that express something about a setting than mechanics that can let you fight as Romans as readily as NATO.
