I bought this 2Unlimited album when I was 10 years old in 1993 for saved $ and actually thought it was really good for a good 5 more years

I could be wrong. I might be. But I think, maybe, possibly, the first thing I bought with my 'own' money (allowance, probably, but saved for some time and VERY young, like when I was 7-8, so it counts.
A single.
On cassette.

This case of an intraperitoneal zucchini is unusual, and does raise questions as to how hard one has to push a blunt vegetable to perforate the rectum.

I grew up stealing thrash metal cassettes from my older brother in the 80s. The first album that I can remember actually buying with my own money was the first Danzig album on cassette from Walmart. Had to be around '91. I got it based solely on the cool skull on the cover. I remember hating it and being pissed that I wasted all my money on it. I thought it was going to be some bitchin' thrash metal or something but it ended up being some weird Elvis poo poo. It eventually grew on me though.

The first CD I ever bought was the Ministry album "The Land of Rape and Honey". I bought it and a CD player with the first paycheck from my first job at a lovely pizza place, which I then immediately quit.
