here's what I would do for a first meal taste: toast some English muffin, bagel, regular toast, what ever. some breads. add fried egg over easy? medium egg ( yolk goo is sauce don't skimp that's the main idea) add cheese slice. American obviously but if that's not available Colby is a fantastic choice add hot sauce EAT

recent very inexpensive kitchen upgrade: six pack of those squeeze bottles to put stuff in REALLY nice so far ive got * veg oil * olive oil * soy sauce (pearl river bridge baby) * shaoxing wine * rice wine vinegar more accurate dosing, aiming, and no need to drag the gallon jug of soy sauce out 99% of the time

yeah i liked the oil bottles, but they got kinda gummy after a while from old oil. it was very pleasing to use a squirt bottle for it though. much better than the containers they come in. i’m down to just light and dark soy sauce.

once I had a oil sprayer that you pumped and built pressure and it sprayed a nice wee mist of oil but that was over a decade ago and never seen one since

Yeah it's slightly tongue in cheek but with a few exceptions (i see good health/sanitation habits in some of those BoH videos from asia) restaurants got all kinds of little beasties on everything

I was referring to the sauce bottles like that which are left on tables for every customer to use. they’re likely only handled by staff when they need to be refilled, meanwhile dozens of people have put their fingers on the spout.
